Jim McColl insists there will be no deal to keep Craig Mather

Recommended Posts

That's what was claimed at the recent Q&A meeting Mather & Stockbridge held with fans, but they didn't tell the truth about everything that night, so it's impossible to know if they told the truth about the hiring back of Green or if they just said that to appear united. I doubt very much indeed if Walter voted in favour of Green returning.

Even if Walter didn't we can't forget that he backed Mather in his resignation statement.

The whole board seemingly agreed to that in fairness.

It was a sign of their collective incompetence and weakness just like last nights statement.

Spot on and also a sign that they haven't really been running the show. If they were, then there's no way they would have brought back Green unless their pants all caved in when they got the requisition notice. Maybe they didn't have a clue what to do, so sat around a table for 8 hours brainstorming and came up with the cunning plan of asking uncle Chuck to come back and help them out by talking a load of crap in the press for a few days while they figured out what the hell they were going to do.

D murray was gone from rangers whe paul arrived in all but a physical sense.

According to the report published by the SFA on Rangers bringing the game into disrepute.

Paul Murray was more than aware what Craig Whyte was, as were most of the board Martin Bain in particular. No one from that time should ever be allowed back on the Rangers board.

Does the same report not go into detail about how Martin Bain, Paul Murray & AJ tried to convince David Murray not to sell to Whyte? I thought it was their knowledge about Whyte which prompted them to try to offer SDM an alternative at the last minute when he refused to listen?
