Jim McColl insists there will be no deal to keep Craig Mather

It's a fair point that Walter was a big cause with those league titles.

But you agree it wasn't Murray's business expertise?

It was bain and walter at the coal face but murray did his part. Lets say the trophies despite reducing debt were murrays real success. The boards real success. All lloyds did was demand it came down.

Paul Murray on the board wouldn't bother me at all, and I think he did himself a lot of good with the report on Whyte.

But apart from any other considerations, it would annoy the SFA and Timothy no end to have a - Christ, I've forgotten what they were called, those loan letter things - associated person on the board.

It really is glorious watching McColl tearing these wanks a new one. The thing is, he's got the dough to back his mouth up, if needs be. He just knows he doesn't have to throw cash at them to get them out, and so do they. The AGM will be a bloodbath, and I can see the Easdales getting the bullet too, even if they are slipping under the radar a little.

The bank put their own man on the board to reduce the debt, Muir IIRC. Walter played a part by qualifying for ECL but complained about not being able to order stationery without the ok from Muir.

The bank reduced the debt, not the board.
