Not seen the actual top but I'm told it is Nike who is making them.

Not that I'm a big Nike fan, but if it looks like it does in the photo then I can only see my 5-a-side contribution being raised by at least 10%.

So, over 200 purchased within 5 hours of going on sale. Certainly goes some way to showcasing the power that the fans actually have!

From twitter.

That's a fabulous start.

RST getting absolute pelters on another forum and twitter for this. This board have done some number on our fans.

It's beyond a joke on twitter. Thinly veiled threats that the support needs to be "cleansed", that these shirts will help identify "them" and that there are some pubs where you wouldn't be safe wearing one.

We have some genuine balmpots in our support, but calling it a protest shirt isn't especially helpful. A "Buy Rangers Shirt" would have been better IMO.

With the aim apparently being to stop people buying official club shirts and therefore denying revenue i'd say there's at least an element of protest.

How, Big Chief Mountain Bear

We need professionalism in our dealing with the media - and the Board. Have one guy very well briefed on his subject and he's confident that's what he there for. Spiers and the likes can be told in no uncertain terms you'll have approach person x on that subject.

Your brief was to talk about x. That's why I'm here. You'll need to talk to y about subject z. You've all been well briefed about this. Kill them with the professionalism and charisma and charm that they don't have.

Chris was good yesterday. Always thought David Edgar had charisma and a big future in hi heyday.

Watch the good politicians to see how they go about it. Cameron, Salmond. Arguably the best in the country.

They control everything.

Easy enough with the right charisma and people and Great briefing.

I don't disagree that there's an element of protest involved, but the stated goal is:

"We want fans to have a bigger say in the club. Long-term the only way that can be guaranteed is by purchasing shares.

The surplus from sales will go to providing funds to purchase shares in Rangers which will be held by the Rangers Supporters Trust which is an Industrial and Provident Society owned by it’s members on the basis of one-member one-vote."

Unfortunately, calling it a protest shirt changes the lead message and risks alienating some people from the concept of fan ownership entirely. However, If I buy one it will probably be as well as, rather than instead of, the official replica shirt.

Better get back in the gym if I'm going to be attacked for wearing mine.

Fortunately none of the bampots actually go to ibrox so it will be safe to wear one there.

The ones that make the most noise online will either be too scrawny or too slow to worry about anyway.

As an indication of what we're dealing with, one of them started listing Rangers "enemies" in separate txts, among whom he included Imran Khan......

I've had threats before in essence for having a go at whyte when we went into admin. Or in fairness for mocking those who were defending him. But I wouldn't be hard to find if anyone was actually serious so I have to say they are just blowhards.

As for khan. Any adulterer is an enemy of Rangers for sure.
