Ian . Off course he can read a game, but surely you are aware that ch is a completely different position with different attributes required to a striker!

Of course I do,but you still need to be able to read the game as a striker,no?.

I was one that was unsure about signing DW as I thought his severe lack of pace would see him struggling, I was wrong,so all I'm saying is let's see what he is like as I haven't seen him play since he scored a goal against England last August, he is a fit player.

BTW, I'm not agreeing with his signing, just saying he has signed now so there is nothing we fans can do about it other than give him a chance.

As a former striker I always thought being a defender was easier:devil:

We could organise a red card protest at ally's profligate use of precious club funds. Any spares you know off ian?

I think I would put as much blame at the board for giving him the cash to burn!,I'm lost with the spare red card bit though?.

Define 'model professional'?

I'd say loyalty would be a key factor, he doesn't know the meaning of the word.

Turns up for work on time, gives 100% in game and training, shows his manager respect, does not take wearing the jersey for granted, is not chasing the dollar, is willing to mentor younger players.......

In what way does he not know the meaning of loyalty? He has been loyal to every club he has played for. A proper professional.

He signed for them after playing for us, he obviously does take wearing our shirt for granted. You dont play for us and them if you're loyal.
