I believe Mike Ashley has been threatening all sorts action if his package is not rubber-stamped.

If Ashley wants a war, the way I'm feeling right now, he can have it.

A one-off boycott with a near empty stadium is the next step and it would be a big deal for me personally to do that.

Can anyone work out what might be going on?

Who will be siding with Ashley and who with Kennedy?

Is it true they must take the best offer?

Can one or the other increase their offer if the voting is going against them?

Anyone enlighten me :)

Kennedy is doing King a favour. Easdale and co will be closer to Ashley as they have a common goal. If it comes to a bidding war, Ashley wins hands down as he can throw in a bit of blackmail.

No inside info, all just pure guesswork.

Directors would leave themselves open to legal challenge if they accepted an obviously inferior offer, as that would be against the interests of shareholders (collectively).

It's called their fiduciary duty.

Anyone can alter their loan terms before the directors decide. It doesn't require shareholder approval.

Thanks folks, I'm just wondering why, if Ashley holds the upper hand, this wasn't settled last night. Why did Ashley not raise his offer, or could it be the strings attached make it inferior even if he raised it??

Think I'll go back to bed.

It is a nightmare I agree, but I do not see King or Kennedy in it for personal gain.

King is a Bear who has his money made, even though some, mainly WizardBillMcMerlin (the ever hungry feeder at the red raw teat of Toxic Jack, that's when he can get in ahead of IRA lover and terminal Rangers hater Phil3names of course) and his lackeys would want to portray otherwise.

Kennedy is also a self made man and I believe he wants to protect Rangers from further pillage. I think he recognises what a huge loss an even further diminished Rangers would be to Scottish and European football. Souness is in the background here surely.

Ashley just wants OUR cash. Greed is good don't forget. Isn't it??

Wouldn't disagree with that mate. I'm not happy King's fucked off back to South Africa again when I'd rather he was in the trenches with supporters. I always mind 'the bunnet' camped outside the piggery rallying the filfth...and never backing down. Maybe social media's changed that need? I don't think it has. Kennedy's doing what he done in administration - half hearted bids.

It all has a retro feel to it, with more than a hint of desperation thrown in. I really don't see Ashley and friends letting things slip from their grasp at this late stage.

By the way, liked your article, mate. When is your club having it's 40th do next year?
