Josh Ginnelly set to leave Shrewsbury

Town have rejected an opening offer from the Clarets for the 18-year-old, who has been training with the Championship club for more than a week.

And the agent of the former Aston Villa scholar has told Town their client will not be returning to Shrewsbury.

Town chief executive Matt Williams said: "Burnley made us an offer but we turned it down and told them what we felt we’d get at a tribunal.

“They have left their offer on the table and gone away to look at their next step. His agent told us he definitely won’t be signing for us.

From the Sun's website (via FF)

MARK WARBURTON has refused to rule out a THIRD bid for Scott Allan.

Rangers had two offers for the Hibs midfielder rejected last week.

The 23-year-old has tabled a written transfer request as he looks to secure a dream move to Ibrox.

Hibs insist their player is not for sale, but last night Warburton revealed he’s intent on adding to the seven signings he’s made already this summer.

The Gers boss said: “Rangers will always be looking for quality additions, we have to.

“Any club with ambition has to add quality to its ranks.

“If that quality becomes available, we will make a move.

“Scott Allan is a Hibs player, it is as simple as that. It is not for me to talk about another club’s player.

“From Rangers’ perspective, we must always be looking to add quality.

“We have got our targets and we know as a football department what we want to do. If the quality becomes available and we are in a position to go for it, fantastic. If not, we have got a good squad of players.”

Warburton confirmed Gers are closing in on two possible loan deals ahead of next week’s Championship opener against St Mirren.

He said: “We are making progress.

“It is about timing and making sure it is right for all parties. We are getting closer.”

John Eustace is also edging closer to an Ibrox deal.

Warburton added: “John has trained well. He’d be a great leader, along with the likes of Kenny Miller, Cammy Bell and Lee Wallace.”

Wonder who these loanies might be. Folk on FF say that Harry Winks (the Spurs chap) has played in nigh all of Tottenham's games thus far and looks probably more likely to stay where he is.
