Third Allan bid rejected

Recommended Posts

He found his level last season. Its as good as it will get as far as his career goes.

Good point. Dundee Utd didn't sell him to Hibs for no reason and he was playing Cowdenbeath, Alloa and Livingston last season. Very good point.

They knew they would win because they knew petrie would play ball.

I would like to know why it was hibz(or was it stubz) were so adamant they wouldn't sell Allan to Rangers.

Was it because Rangers are 'rivals' in the same division? Does that therefore mean if/when they're back in the top division they will not sell a player to any club in that division?

You would assume so. But it's a tad more specific. One of us and hibs will win this league and the other come second.

Hibs were absolutely correct not to sell to us.

If the player really wanted to come to us he had to wait. It obviously wasn't that important to him.

Gough's only got part of it right. Yes, he must have been badly advised, but there's also the money side of it for the lad personally and last, but probably not least, the fact that the lad's as thick as mince.

Gordon Waddell: If field of Scottish football is fertile enough for Celts to sign up best, why can’t they grow their own?
