Naismith Rumour!

Recommended Posts

So Naismith, after years in the EPL and on a lucrative deal with us is buying a house in Scotland? Is a boarding school nearby?

Maybe it means nothing, but this news hasn't made it on FF by now, which probably tells its own story.

I like Naismith and to be honest he did us favour when he left.

He could have handled it better but I believe him when he says he was ill-advised.

The new club stuff he alluded was all in a company context but the people that want to believe other things jumped on it as a stick to beat us with.

Yes it has. It was there last night from Jellybean IIRC.

Edit: I guess the thread has been deleted.

When he was injured he still got paid and well looked after and then he did what he did.Good riddance.

And the club were likely paying hardly any of that salary whilst he was injured as insurance would have covered the vast majority.

I'm with GS. Green didn't want them to tupe because he couldn't afford them. Green was more than happy for Naismith and Co to leave the club.

It's a moot point because I don't think the transfer will happen, but it was the way he went about it, with the conference etc. We all would've accepted that he had to move for the good of his career -- like Davis and Edu -- but to come out with the New Club crap and to leave without the club getting anything was unnecessary. I always watch out for Davis' performances but I couldn't care less about Naismith.

As a player, he would improve the team, but we'd only get a year or two out of him. Having Naismith instead of Miller in the first-XI would improve us significantly. I don't know if that would make up for what he did -- I may come round if he performed well.

I think it's unlikely in any case.

The club would have gone bust again if the players tupe over. Green didnt want them and made it clear enough to them.

Tbh theres no way i would have gone to greens rangers.

Sorry that's nonsense. If they had tupe'd over they were assets that could be sold come the first window, somewhere between £20-30m worth far outweighing the cost. CG was desperate to get his hands on that money. The players flapped. Its as simple as that. They never had a single penny missing from their wages. They started talking crap between themselves about losing this and that and believed their own nonsense. Edu and Co ignored the rumours and sat tight and did the best by the club and fans.

Naismith and co ran because their agents told them they could get huge signing on bonuses with no transfer fees applicable. The staff had the same concerns without the same deep pockets and stayed true. If CG had wanted rid of anyone it was the staff standing in his way who could bring in revenue not assets worth millions.
