Findlay is very good no doubt about that,his dismantling of the prosecutions case is calm and collected,his exposure of LBG and murray duplicity is something all should thank him for.

 

That's true, though, on the other hand, he'll be using it to exonerate Whyte.

 

Surely to God all bears who have not yet done so will remove their business from BoS and/or Lloyds.

Why? He still acquired the company/club by dubious means, did he not?

It may stink and certain directors may or may not have acted in the best interests of the company (and action may or may not be taken against them for that) but it still doesn't mean that Lloyds acted illegally.

 

They may not have done anything illegal, but that is just one of many routes by which a bank can be found liable. For example, there are regulations (from the FCA) and a code of conduct for banks from the British Banking Association.

 

It's worth pointing out that banks are paying billions in PPI compensation and yet not only was it legal, in the vast majority of cases, they were absolutely correct in doing what they did. It doesn't however prevent government or powerful lobbying groups from agreeing grounds for compensation. That's going slightly off topic, but suffice to say that the regulator and government are feared more than the law.

If whyte is convicted of a crime and lloyds facilitated that i cant see how that wouldnt be aiding and abeting or profiting from a crime.

Mate I've been following every tweet from the court case and have yet to see Findlay dismantling anything at all in the prosecutions evidence.

Findlay is doing what he always does, which is surrounding the case with garbage .

"Was Murray innocent ? Were the board neutered ? What were the banks objectives ?

But absolutely nothing about Whytes behaviour.

As was said already in evidence - Murray and the bank didn't care where the money came from - that is not what the trial is about.
