Evidence? We in court?

It's an opinion BH that's what debating forums are for.

It's pretty obvious from press conferences and the performances on the park that several players have chucked it and look completely lost on the park. Anyone with a modicum of tactical knowledge can see they're not moving in and out of phases properly .

As for the Capain what stomach injury can you get that keeps you out for nearly a month? Sounds like a likely excuse plus he seems missing from non footballing duties too. Strange for a captain not to travel through to games even when injured or to do zero press or charity work when he's fully mobile.

That racial abuse stuff is blown out of all proportions ... wait another few months and we are racist bigots to the core. Given the propaganda drive in the Scottish mhedia, I wouldn't be surprised by this. As if they need to hide all the Scum paedophile fiasco with megalomaniac headlines about essentially non-events, e.g. our red cards, our non - red cards, the odd idiot shouting abuse (amongst 50odd thousand doing similar) and whatnot. For some of the dirt will stick ...

On the latter re Wallace, he had surgery on his problem and was always expected to be out for a few weeks. Seems its something that he had been managing, but ultimately it went so far that it needed surgical intervention. He said on the official podcast that it had went well, so I'm guessing he will be going through a recovery and rehab process. As for public appearances - he has been photographed promoting various things in the past couple of weeks if i recall correctly. Would need to dig through various things on the website and he may well have travelled to watch games - how would you know?

Wallace , same as Tavernier, isn't a full back.

If the managers he's had wanted him to be a full back they'd tell him not to cross the half way line.

Both have suffered due to the incompetence of our various centre halfs who are there to cover when they move forward.

Big Broadfoot and to a certain extent Whittaker were the same.

I think the centre backs have suffered because the full backs can't defend wide positions and so they get caught out of position and outnumbered when Tavernier for example goes AWOL. Part of that problem is because we lose the ball going forward (constantly out tackled from what I can see in midfield, forwards who are amongst the worst in our history etc), full backs not knowing when to go and when they stay (pompously referred to as transition nowadays).

Centre back is the easiest position on the park but a nightmare if folk are running at you and it's 2 against 3 or more.

The only successful tactic this group can adopt at a higher level would be all out defence (try beating 6 dustbins). Reality is we are crap and the difficulty is identifying which individuals could step up. Probably 3 or 4 at most.

Wrong thread.

Thought the thread was about pedros choices. There are no more than 3 or 4 of the current first team who he should keep. It's not as easy as singling out the centre backs. Defence starts at the front.

He remains a bamboozling appojntment, especially after we've been stung recently on more than one occasion by managers with a limited track record. He showed initial promise, particularly in the second half against Aberdeen, but overall things have been pretty shambolic. He has no discernible style and much of that Partick game was as poor as anything I saw under McCoist. The fact he could ever see the long ball as a viable tactic to win a match is extremely worrying. He needs to get a season with his own players, however, just like any other manager.

At the end of the day, does anyone trust our club or board to unearth an unknown gem, whether it's on the park or off it?

Typical fans....They complain when one manager doesn't have a plan B......then complain when a new manager tries to implement plan B & Plan C.

My impression of PC is that he is very technical with his approach to the game. He appears to be trying to get players to play & move in a very specific manner & to see spaces & opportunities. The flaw in this plan is the many of the current players do not seem to be able to firstly comprehend what he is trying to do & secondly (as a result of point 1) are unable to effectively execute it on the park. Essentially, many of the players are more used to playing with purely their feet & not their heads.

Hopefully PC will be able to bring in more "intelligent" (in a footballing sense) players who can see & understand clearly the technical requirements. They may then be able to pass that on in a more practical sense to the others.

If this way of playing works and is implemented long term through the academy, we will then be in a better position to produce real quality players that can go on to play at the highest level.

I posted something then noticed it was on the wrong thread, then deleted it. :)
