What they don't have is the "supply & demand" value added or dropped from a player's "worth". Even freebies have a "market value". Essentially a co-efficient made up of where they play, in which league, age, length of contract, international games etc.. And as they have that value system for every player throughout the world, they can "value" a players "worth" accordingly.

 

What we think a player is worth is usually just made up of personal opinion. An actual transfer fee (if any) will be determined not by looking at TM, but whether a club is willing to sell, how much they want and what a club is willing to pay /"supply and demand") ... to e.g. buy him out of a contract.

I suspect that O'Halloran would be an automatic first choice at the majority of SPL clubs just as he was at St Johnstone who are solid top 5 and looking good to be a minimum 4th right now. He's an asset despite the fact he hasn't been able to force himself into the starting 11 with us.
