I think his registration with the Turkish FA from his previous loan spell runs out on 30th June/1st July so I would guess either they have released his registration allowing him to play, or he will be available to play the second leg and has been added to the squad as the wildcard entry.. The 29-year-old had originally been omitted from the list of players registered for the match because his registration from his last club, Alanyaspor, was not due to be released until July 1. Candeias, who signed a two-year deal for Pedro Caixinha's side from Benfica, is eligible to play after the Ibrox side managed to negotiate a deal to obtain the necessary paperwork and pushed the matter through with UEFA. The former Benfica man had been left disappointed on hearing he was ineligible to play, having given an interview back in his homeland where he revealed his excitement at the thought of debuting in front of a packed house at Ibrox. Candeias said: “ The stadium will be full! Here they sell tickets before the season starts and it will be packed, as usual. "I look forward to my debut at Ibrox. I think it’s going to be beautiful. I’ve felt the fans’ tremendous feeling. And now that Rangers will return to Europe they are looking forward to Thursday. And so do we." The Ibrox club had only named 23 players in their squad due to not being able to fulfil the requirement that four places in the squad must be taken by players who have spent three seasons training with the club between the ages of 15 and 21. Wonder whether the Yahoos fulfilled this requirement these last few years. Anyway, I just hope that we make this Candeias thing watertight, perhaps trying to get something written by the UEFA-official in Glasgow.
