Frankie 8,186 Posted November 21, 2017 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Dear all, I'm afraid I have to inform you all that last year's Predictions League winner, Colin Smithson (aka Yorkshire Bear) passed away yesterday evening due to illness. I believe he was in his early 70s. I didn't know Colin very well or that he was so ill but I do know he was very proud of winning the PL last year. It was most humbling that his wife took the time to contact me last night to say that everyone on the forum 'kept his chin up' during his illness and that he'd been very fond of using the site over the last five years or so. For some people like Colin, those challenges in life are so difficult and yet you'd never know what he was dealing with when he came on here.
