Their first was never a penalty and their second was a foul on Tav.

 

That said our performance is totally unacceptable.

It's difficult when you're playing thugs, with a Referee against us. 

 

However, we should be battling better. 

 

We're outnumbered up front against their 3-5-2. We need to match them. 

 

We also need to get Windass and Morelos in behind, instead of playing into their feet where a 'Well player is always groping them.

Docherty and Dorrans are letting the midfielders run off them. They are outnumbered, but they're also not tracking their man.

The thing is everyone knew this would be a midfield battle and once again we go with two (one coming backing back after five months out) against their three.

 

That's fine if you have someone capable of dropping deep and helping out but Windass isn't that player.  Candeias and Murphy are also completely out of the game in an attacking sense as we can't get the ball to them quickly enough.

 

The lack of leadership in that side says a lot.  Time after time we left balls  and running players to each other.

All I can think of is no Rangers team under Walter Smith or Jock Wallace would have dared turn in a performance like that. Which suggests a failure of leadership.

Docherty has been awful and Dorrans just looks like a player off the pace.  A really strange decision from the manager to play him there in a two.

That's silly, though. 

 

Your prejudice against Windass aside, Dorrans in Windass' position does not help us. Dorrans needs time and space, none of which are available today.

 

We need to get Windass in behind, so he can use his pace.
