I don't know that he actually has a desire to go to China. He has never stated he wanted to be somewhere else and his girlfriend posted on social media that he doesn't want to be anywhere else. To be fair we have tons of options in the engine room now and with Coulibaly apparently being "very impressive in training" it would seem that Greg D would see limited, if any, game time. I think Docherty & Jack are fairly similar players and Jack has started the season very well (MOTM on Tuesday IMO) so Gerrard probably thinks there isn't a need for both of them.
