However its important to remember Gerrard has a 4 year contract and he knows these kids well and will almost certainly be hoping he can make some of them permament after a successful loan. I wonder when Ejaria’s contract expires. A few months ago he was stalling on a signing a deal and there has been no word since on whether he signed it. I was disappointed with the pace he gets on his long passes and shots. Those passes take an age to reach their target. Yes, that video didn't impress me at all. I will say though the Sebo video made him look great so maybe this is the other way round. Possibly a similar loan deal to Murphy....ie. season loan with 1st option to buy @ an agreed price. We shall see, as others state that he's a deal till 2020 at Liverpool. Meanwhile, a Liverpool fan wrote this about the lad on FF: Quote So Ovie Ejaria then lads! Ejaria joined us as an 18 year old from arsenal. He rejected a pro deal with them and moved onto us. He moved to us with very little hype surrounding him. We just thought he was another player who was brought in to keep the numbers and allow other more talented players to develop. He didn’t really set the place alight in his first season, mainly due to settling down. His performances were very inconsistent. One week he’d be the best player on the park then the next he’d be totally invisible and everything he tries doesn’t come off. So forward onto the following season and he was a surprise inclusion in the first team pre season. Apparently Klopp rated him very highly at the time (he had been training a lot with the first team). He was took onto the tour and he stood out so well. Was putting in great performances against the likes of Chelsea and didn’t look like he was phased at all and just took to it like duck to water. I think he played all the games in our USA tour that season and Klopp was bigging him up to challenge for a place in the first team. Unfortunately for Ovie, he got a pretty bad injury in one of the last pre season games that kept him out till October/November times which must have been absolutely gutting for the lad! I think if he got the chance at the time, he would have grasped it with both hands like Trent has done at right back. As a youngster trying to break through at Liverpool, you need a bit of luck and a few players to be injured and unfortunately for him, it took him a while to find his form again. He got a start against wolves I believe which we lost and after that we never really seen him in the first team picture again Strengths- Ejaria would work great in a midfield 3 or behind the strikers, he can probably play on the wings too. His ball control is excellent, very good close dribbling and he’s got great composure on the ball ( never panics when he’s being pressed). He’s about 6”1/6/2 as well and he uses his long legs and moves around the field very easily. Areas to improve- he needs to get more consistent, he can’t have on and off days playing at the top level, needs to work on his finishing too and also when to release the ball. Sometimes he can try and take on one too many players. Overall I’d say Ejaria is going to be a pretty good signing for rangers. Last summer he was probably worth about 5million (English premium) so getting him on a free is a steal. He’s a physical player and playing in Scotland shouldn’t be too hard for him.
