The fact that there are no SNP MPs, MSPs or Councillors who are Rangers fans (or are willing to admit to be Rangers fans)?

The fact that Rangers MSP never attends Ibrox or gives the club any support even though it is arguably the biggest institution within her constituency?

The fact that the SNP leader tweeted her support for Hibs fans as they were assaulting Rangers players and refused to condemn the Hibs fans and just shamefully issued a general statement days later through a spokesman.

The fact that little or no action is taken whenever SNP members/candidates/MSPs make sectarian slurs or accusations of racism about Rangers or their fans?

The fact that a SNP MSP can call the Rangers captain a "grass" and no action is taken?

It's inherent in the SNP. the SNP supporters on here just stick their heads in the sand.

Not a single thing mentioned suggests that the PARTY is anti-Rangers.....individuals potentially, but not the party.

Out of curiosity....how many of these incidents were formally reported through the proper channels???

Silly question.  Why shouldn't Scottish nationalism be viewed dimly on a Rangers forum?

Have you ever heard the songs at Ibrox?

Why should it...Rangers are a Scottish Club - Founded in Scotland, by Scots, play in Scotland, Represent Scotland (UEFA & FIFA), and play under the Scottish FA.  WE ARE A SCOTTISH CLUB.

But again, are you confirming that SNP/Independence supporters are not welcome to support Rangers?

The last 2 points are the party. The party takes no action. The previous 2 should have the party highlighting the deficiencies and action being taken by the relevant person/people.

Proper channels? You're really scraping the bottom of the barrel here but there's always a get out when the SNP are concerned. Facts were asked for and supplied and now the excuses come out.

The incidents were widely reported in the press and were highlighted to senior officials in a number of ways but are ignored. I've done it myself in the past but got no response.

Have you interviewed all SNP MP's, MSP and councillors to know this as fact?

As said on this thread, considering how much we are hated by other fans in Scotland, it would be folly for a politician to openly "support" Rangers.

The fact that the SNP leader tweeted her support for Hibs fans as they were assaulting Rangers players and refused to condemn the Hibs fans and just shamefully issued a general statement days later through a spokesman.

With regards to the cup final, I hardly think there would be up to minute condemnation by the FM considering both sets of fans were involved in the unrest and the facts were not fully aware.

Obviously a misguided tweet by an individual that should have been dealt with.

Quite a few Rangers fans have a dim view of catholic doctrine but we’ve had plenty of catholic players and a catholic manager and a proportion of catholic or half catholic fans. The question for true Rangers fans might be; which is bigger a) your religion b) your politics c) your nationality d) your club.

If you think you cannot support Rangers unconditionally because of a/b/c are you a true Rangers fan?

If the UK ceased to incorporate Scotland because England wanted independence would folk support Rangers less? Would Rangers become the quintessential British but non-English club?

People who support independence may be perfectly happy with supporting a club with a British identity in the same way British kids support Barcelona with a Catalan identity. The reality is that no independence supporting Rangers fan is actively fighting against Rangers, it’s just that British ‘nationalist’ fans don’t like independence Rangers fans because they think they are a threat to their existential well being. You could argue that football  fans who only care about the team winning and let nothing else detract from that, are the purest form of fan.

I wonder if sitting next to an independence supporting Rangers fan at Ibrox makes the Unionist fan feel less of a Rangers fan and that is the real problem. In other words they are seen as a threat to the club when there is no rationale for that. If they don’t like them just because they have different politics then that has nothing to do with football.

Keep politics out if football imo. The Tims can’t do that and they look ridiculous and sound thick to me.

Have you interviewed all SNP MP's, MSP and councillors to know this as fact?

If it wasn't then you'd be able to disprove it fairly quickly.

I'm not talking about becoming a fan. I'm just referring to offer support to a constituent employer by attending as a neutral. As for the being hated by other fans, why do other parties have Rangers fans in their MSPs/MPs/Councillors?

With regards to the cup final, I hardly think there would be up to minute condemnation by the FM considering both sets of fans were involved in the unrest and the facts were not fully aware.

Pathetic response. She was quick enough to praise the Hibs fans, plus it was people who were employed within her constituency who were assaulted. This shows the fact that SNP Rangers fans put their party before their club.
