I have never seen any of the Livi match, not even highlights, however this is easily the worst I have seen us play!. A very well taken goal.

We didn't look like scoring until they ventured up the park and left some room in behind.

Great finish from Kent to take advantage of the space.

 

We got away with a penalty and a handball in the build-up to our goal so it's almost Livingston level of performance with a different scoreline down to Hamilton not being Livingston and us getting a couple of decisions.

 

This isn't about the pitch, it's more we've simply been poor.

 

ps....and Alfredo....you've been kicked to f88k but don't do anything silly.

Well taken and well created.  Good goal but a poor performance overall. SG has shown he can shake the team up at half-time and hopefully we'll see an improvement second half.

With the way Acas are playing, it was always going to be tight in the first half and we didn't help ourselves with some slack play and building too slowly.  Ejaria and Coulibaly weren't doing enough to help link the play in central areas for me.

 

Fortunately, just as it looked like being 0-0 at the break, some good play from Morelos allowed Kent to steam through and finish brilliantly.

 

I doubt Hamilton will open up too much early in the second half as they've managed to create a few openings despite being very defensive.  We need to do better and look the kill the game with more quality on the ball.

We've had all of the ball possession in the first half. Hamilton have offered nothing other than lofting it into the air to let the plastic pitch do the work for them with awkward bounces they've been dreadful. The ref in my opinion has been pretty poor as theres been more than a few dangerous tackles from Hamilton that have gone unpunished even though they've had two players booked. Theres been a couple of Rangers breaks where the ref allowed advantage were no advantage applied and never brought the play back for the foul. Fortunately we break and Ryan Kent scores an absolute cracker great finish from the lad.

We'll take it, but we don't deserve it.

 

The goal was well worked. A midfield breakdown resulted in Morelos rolling his man and playing a lovely swerved pass into Kent's run. The Acas Keeper made up Kent's mind, a lovely lifted lob from his instep, into an empty net.

 

It took until the 31st minute for Woods to make a save/touch the ball. Including McGregor, only three/four Rangers players are facing the Acas goal, the rest have their backs to the opposition. Our passing forward is poor, Katic has been the worse user of the ball. Acas have enjoyed 4/5 attempts at our goal. Actually, any high ball into our box is a lottery.

 

We have to start the second half on the front foot, pass the ball quicker, turn the Acas, and hopefully take a few of the opportunities we create.

We can't get over the half-way line.

 

The only consolation is we're keeping the ball.
