A Message From Steven Gerrard

Players and senior staff have shown their loyalty to our club in recent weeks, and now we want to reward you for your loyalty to us

That pisses me off. Taking a wage deferral and making out that it's showing some level of loyalty to the club.

Yes, it's good in that it defers season ticket renewals, but they're ultimately not going to be out of pocket, so there's no sacrifice and therefore very little loyalty, so please don't crow about it, Mr Gerrard.

You actually think those were Gerrard's words as opposed to Club generated soundbites ?

They promote Membership scheme, but do not show costs of scheme, and latest message from Robertson says £25 voucher available, to this season's ST holders, on main site again no word on how this will be issued or how to claim.

The comments about proper cities and proper football clubs seem like things SG would say, although I suspect the bit Bluedell and you refer to has been added in by the club.

I'd prefer a winning club to a proper club.

Had a look. Just dont quite understand the membership stuff too.

Seems a bit of a flag. I mean will I not still get priority tickets being a season ticket holder.

Cheeky to say there is a price freeze but you lost 5 games or so last year and now you need be a member to get the same benefits I got as a season ticket holder? Or am I reading it wrong?

This is a difficult position for fans.  We suspect our season tickets will not be able to be used this season but if we don't sign up the club will almost not certainly go under (or at least be in serious financial trouble).  I'll be taking mine but I can completely understand those who don't.

Until they drop this nonsense about a vaccine I just don't see fans being back for a long time, possibly 18 months.  By that stage it's too late.

With so many people losing their lives, their loved ones, their livelihoods, their jobs etc, and with the continued uncertainty of the virus and on-going measures, puts both the club and the fans in a hugely difficult position when it comes to renewing season tickets.

I can totally understand any fan who for whatever reason decides they can't renew at this time and hope the club are sympathetic to these fans as I feel they shouldn't automatically lose their ticket for good if they can't renew this season due to circumstances completely out with their control.

As for the members scheme, the less said about that the better in my humble opinion

Agree as I said in earlier post no price is mentioned and to me is just a scheme to get more money from ST holders although it seems you don't have to be one, confusing!!!
