[FT] Rangers 1 (Morelos 67) - 0 Alashkert

Recommended Posts

I'm looking forward to tonight's match - never seen a team from Armenia before.

Hopefully the performance is more like Dunfermline than Malmö, although I think Roofe and Kamara's suspensions might be problematic.  Does anyone know what's going on with Sakala?

I hope it's a big crowd and the support get behind the team.  I expect us to win but it might not be as easy as some of us seem to expect.

Will be a very interesting line-up. The positive performances of Bassey, Hagi & Wright against the pars combined with below average performances in the previous games from (amongst others) Borna and Kent gives the manager some very tricky decisions that we simply cannot afford to get wrong.

I admit I have no idea what level our opponent are at, is this pub-team demolition or gritty well-organised and a troublesome tie? Failure to proceed is unthinkable so we simply have to win and win well tonight, to ensure we can save anyone we need to in advance of a massive OF game against the best side ever in the history of Scottish football and a  £100M worth lethal Jap who Barca would love to have but cant afford.

I’m always gloomy ahead of Rangers’ games but there’s a feeling of Chesterfield about this one. Don’t tell,me I’m wrong because I won’t believe you ‘til they’re 4-0 up.

Alashkert is no Gornik.
