[FT] Ross County 3 - 3 Rangers (Diallo 5; Tavernier 49; Goldson 72)

  • Frankie changed the title to [HT] Ross County 2 - 1 Rangers (Diallo 5)

We waited until 35mins to actually inject a bit of urgency into our play. We take too many touches and too many extra passes which won't allow us to break down any teams that can get players behind the ball.

To then basically throw in two goals after sneaking an early opener kind of sums up our lethargic play.

Great start to game, scored a great goal then reverted to type and retreated into our shells.

To be honest Ross County haven't looked dangerous, but when you give them two goals it makes it a difficult game.

They got two early bookings yet we've not tried to exploit the players on yellows. Target them.

Going forward, we've had 2 or 3 decent breaks but have no focal point. Roofe or Skala need to come on sooner rather than later.

Only plus points- Amad looks a player.

A couple of horrendous defensive errors sees us 2-1 down.

The fifteen minutes after we opened the scoring, we did not win a tackle. County played it long, often won the first and the second ball. The crosses kept coming into our box. Kamara, Arfield and, Aribo is a very good midfield, until the last ten minutes of the half, they all played with their backs to the County goal. We have got in behind the County back line twice, once was the goal.

County are pressing high and fast and have successfully preyed on our errors. We must increase the tempo and get Kent on the ball.

Further, in the first twenty minutes, County had two of their backline cautioned. We have not taken the ball to them, stood them up and invited the desperate tackle that could lead to the red. Why?
