Struggling to be very positive here. Hopefully he steadies the ship and we get a new manager bounce anyway. We should be harder to beat too, no more humiliations.

From how things are at the moment, it would be almost difficult not to get a bounce.

 

The main initial questions are, how long will it last and does it include a New Year win against Celtic and a League Cup ?

 

I think these players will do something very similar to what they did a year ago (without the extended European run obviously).

I'm warming up to the idea of Beale coming in, at least we know he has some decent tactical chops, the man management is unknown but honestly I think Gerrard burned himself a few times in the first couple of years by being too tough on the players, so this could be better. At the end of the day it seems like this will be a transition phase with a likely large overhaul in the summer so the next 6 months will be key to see what we have in reserves to bolster our team.

Just had a look at his QPR form,

Poor first 6 games (1 win)

Good 11 game run (8 wins, 2 losses)

Poor final 5 games (4 losses, 1 draw)

 

Leagues standing as follows; 9 wins, 4 draws, 8 losses. GD +2.
