If Mick Beale thought it was the right thing to do then it was the right thing to do, not just because it cancelled out a goal but because of the message he's trying to send to players, fans and media alike that this is who we are. He has repeatedly spoken about the importance of creating an "identity" that everyone can share and this spoke volumes about who he wants us to be. Sure he took a chance but it was worth it.

 

I can't share this "fuck em" philosophy, what Beale did was far more important and ultimately long lasting than Tillman's goal. Every one of our players is a little more engaged to this club today.

Richard Gough once ordered our players not to score against Hearts after they'd been reduced to 8 men in a match at Ibrox. When does the petition to strip him of his place in the Hall Of Fame begin? 

 

I could understand the anger this seems to be generating if we'd lost yesterday.

You might think that you can tell the players to pick and choose.

 

Just remember that when you complain about scraping past an inferior team. Or maybe it will be a match that we don't kill off before letting the opponent equalise.
