Think Sterling will be a "Bassey" type signing. Will offer cover at RB and CB - looks like we'll be going to a back 3  - Sterling, Goldson and Soutar with Tav and Ridvan as wing backs.

I see him as primarily as cover for CB - or even a first-choice CB. 

 

It'll be a back-three before he takes Tavernier's spot.

I've always liked a back 3 if you have guys who are willing and able to step out with the ball (Goldson springs to mind) as it usually pulls a midfielder out of position, giving you an option and space to build attacks. Otherwise it's shite.

Formations are fluid not rigid we have played a back 3 at times this season more so at ibrox during games when

lundstram has slotted back in.

 

I wouldn’t get overly excited/upset about it.
