I've now collated all the data from the season's match by match polls but I also like to do a stand alone thread to see what people think in a general sense once the season is done. Recency bias and all that jazz! ;)

Plenty praise of late for Tav, Cantwell and Souttar whilst the contribution of guys like Morelos, Lundstram and Kent across the season has been criticised strongly.

Who gets your vote? I've restricted the numbers to players who have had the more interesting stats....

Poll closes tomorrow (Friday) at noon.

For me it's between Tavernier and Sakala, I've went for Sakala.

Really these two players have carried us since Beale has come in and whilst Fashion can be infuriating it's him and the new signings who are the only one's who've actually looked like they enjoy playing for Rangers and graft like it's a privilege.

If Fashion go's he'll go with my thanks, was always a thrill/rollercoaster watching him play!

I've gone for Tav as I don't want to vote for players who've only been here 6 months, or missed a chunk of the season. I just can't justify voting POTY to a player who was only there for half of it even as much as I would like to 😁

Tillman for me. Would have gone Cantwell if he was here turning in these types of performances in January but as we took so long to get the deal done he didnt really get going until later. Tav ended the season well but was just not at the races for a large part of the first half. Colak sadly got injured or I'm sure he would be a contender.

Injury prone haddy of the year a much harder one to call.

For me half a season, no matter how good you are, doesn't qualify for POTY. This is about making the biggest contribution across the entire season, not about who turned in the best performance on certain match days. Certain players just seem to make the team perform better when they're on the park, while others tend to stand out as individuals. On that basis I think the contenders are probably Tavernier, Goldson, Jack, Lundstram, Tillman and Sakala with a short list of Tav, Jack and Tillman.
