Potter has a very good record outside of Chelsea, who are an absolute shitshow of a club.

He had 3 good years at Brighton but he’s not in the running for the Rangers job. He’d have to give up a lot of the compensation he got/is getting after getting sacked at Chelsea.

I just think a big name (with the right backroom staff) is what we need. Like we had with Gerrard and Souness

I agree that Potter is an unlikely appointment.

I'd rather have a competent manager over a so-called 'big name'.

It's interesting to see that there's no clear favourite, if we are typical of the wider fanbase, which is good as it seemed that the board went with the fans' favoured candidate on the last 2 occasions.

It's also interesting to see that nobody has gone for Lampard.

The poll on FF had some interesting names that weren't covered on here:

Papszun
Moe
Boas
Nistelrooy
Favre
Pereira
Kuntz
Glasner
Lopetegui
Wicky

I don't know if these guys are realistic but some have more experience and are more appealing than some of the ones on the rumoured shortlist.

Big name player and big name manager are two very different things.

Let's ask Gary Neville and Roy Keane if they fancy it.

I'm not sure about Gary Neville but think Keane would be interested in talking to us!

See Big Sam bigging us up and saying it would be an honour to manage us. The candidates just gets better and better.
