If we'ed even won the league two seasons ago I'd go for the UEFA cup. But I would find 3 seasons without winning the SPL too hard to bear. SPL first and last for me, everything else is icing on the cake.

I'd take the CL before the league though. Although the UEFA is prestigious and difficult to win, it's still an also ran competition and arguably getting to the last 16 in the CL is a bigger acheivement.

PS you could go on about the fact that we haven't won a European trophy for 36 years, but there are many seasons where we could easily have won the CWC or UC, with the most obvious being 93. However, we've been pretty ensconsed in trying to do well in the CL in those years where we've had a really good team.

Far too much worrying about the beggars going on here. Fuck them. The league will always be there for us. Winning a European trophy would pretty much make my life! Never mind giving them the helicopter feeling. Let's give them the European trophy at the brox feeling. nineteen sixty what?? Get it right up ye. We'd still qualify for the CL anyway with the boost our seeding will have got from this year's run.

UEFA cup. I've seen us win the SPL title loads of times, but never seen us winning a European trophy.

Coming first in a two horse race. Where's the achievement in that? A UEFA cup win would be remembered for years and years.

As for what celtic fans say or think, I couldn't really care. Why let your goals for our great club be dictated by them? first.gif
