I’m beginning to think there is no imminent appointment.

I'll be in Porto first weekend in August. Don't suppose anyone knows any bars there that'll show Scottish matches (it'll be away from home, so presumably on Sky)?
-
Apologies, comment wasn't aimed at you, poorly worded. From what fan media are saying it's Stewart, Thelwall and Cavanagh.
-
I’m not doubting your informant. Just very keen to know for sure that it’s the new guys who are running it and not the old.
-
No. I just heard he was interviewed and no reason to disbelieve the person who told me. He isn't the only candidate to be have been interviewed. I've heard Frank Lampard was at Training Complex recently but his appearance there may not be linked to vacant managers role.
-
Rangers in recent seasons have raised their game against the bigger clubs.
-
Any idea who is on the interview panel?
-
We scudded Fenerbahce in Turkey, whereas Lyon scrapped a draw. I don't think a bad night against Lyon means we're not close to these other teams.
-
You forgot to post the "season over" date....
-
If it's Gerrard it won't be announced any time soon (he has been interviewed) due to tax implications after returning to UK. There is also the additional complication of his wife refusing to move to Scotland.

One I grew to like whilst living / working in North America

This is a good way to do it. The manager needs to keep some distance between himself and the players. I wanted Barry Ferguson but you have persuaded me that Gerrard is the man for the job. -

Not on the official HP just yet, but Kristian Webster, Archie Stevens and Cole McKinnon have been released. No word on Adam Devine just yet. AFAIK, Stevens and McKinnon were highly rated ... at some stage. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? -
It is a decent point. We've got a big turnaround coming up, both in squad, staff, and new owners. Everything has to hit the ground running to be ready for qualifiers.
-
They’ve got a load of comparative duffers right enough but there’s a couple worth keeping.
-
Very difficult to just speed a takeover up. These things take time and we've been told it'll be late May/June before it's done, so getting into a tizzy now is a sign of impatience. As for the new manager, it might not be fully possible just now for any number of reasons, particularly ongoing contracts and the takeover itself.
-
Utd also got past Lyon, who scudded us.
-
That's as may be but the way we operate slow slow and stop we'll probably end up in a mess
-
From another perspective, the 2024/25 season technically isn't over yet and we only relieved Ferguson of his managerial duties four days ago.

Quick get down to Manchester, United have just put the lot of them up for sale -

We drew with Spurs (and were unlucky not to win) and only lost to a goal in injury time against Man Utd, so we're not that far away from that level. The difference between us and Man Utd reaching the final was that they got the clear penalty decision and red card against Athletic Club and we didn't.

Sorry for the late answer. I doubt my niece would be interested to be honest as she is very set in her ways, and I don't know if she speaks English that good. She is the only one left in that side of her family. My brother-in-law was in the army until recently when he retired. He was on paid leave for the last years, though. His son joined the army. After a number of years, he decided to come out into civvy land. He couldn't adapt to normal work, so he approached his ex-commander if he could rejoin again as he made a mistake coming out. His commander refused to let him back in. A few weeks later, they found him hanging from a tree. He had taken his own life. I suppose that is the same in reverse.

It might have been a poor final but we are not at that level we did okay in the Thursday night cup but the same lot couldn't beat Queens park nope not good enough
