  1. Past hour
  2. The money we get from our domestic league isn’t sufficient to sustain the current business. If we failed to get into any of the competitions group stages we’d be seriously in the brown stuff. CL isn’t guaranteed any longer even if we win the league and as things currently stand we have absolutely no chance whatsoever of winning the league
  3. It was 22,000, there has been a game with a 3000 crowd yesterday.
  4. We are surely capable of both? Keeping our coefficient high is another factor.
  5. Short-term you are correct however win the league this season and access to CL riches becomes so much easier. No European money this season but CL money next season, ballances itself out.
  6. Nope, winning the league is more important as it makes access to CL riches easier. Which was one of the reasons we were so attractive to the 49ers.
  7. Today
  8. Europa I reckon £18 million prize money alone if we do reasonably well. Ticket sales, don't have the figures, say around £8 million after vat tax. Don't know the cost of hosting a match. Champions League I think Celtic made about £38m prize money alone.
  9. Regardless of what fans want, I'd bet my life the 49ers didn't invest for us to focus on domestic matters.
  10. How much does it make for us after we remove win bonuses, match hosting costs etc
  11. There is a report in the telegraph saying the crowd at the Chelsea game was around 600 other reports say it was 3000 either way a poor turnout that must worry the FIFA lads with the world cup finals less than a year away .
  12. Plus, I'd imagine it'd be much harder to entice potential signings without the prospect of European football. Amyone decent fancy Fir Park in January?
  13. Our domestic league doesn’t bring in sufficient revenue. We need the European money
  14. A hard game and more so because we don't even know who will be at Ibrox or out of Ibrox before we play them looks like it will be the Thursday night cup again .
  15. Sure we are the underdogs probably with a 25% chance but we always perform in Europe 🤞 we get the job done.
  16. United have a hard fist five games very hard
  17. I hope not but that looks like the Hammers off to a good start. Hard one for Burnley. Three points for Leeds.
  18. We can't ignore money from Europe though even if we don't go far, some sort of European league stage football is important.
  19. Just realised that Sergio Ramos scored for Monterrey last night. He extends his lead over Tavernier...
  20. Due to PRS rules, pretty much every club in the world is a selling club now.
  21. Ideally Raskin extends for 1 year and he stays this season. But he wants to play for Chelsea so could be off depending on suitors.
  22. Rangers head coach Russell Martin is keen to build his side around forward Hamza Igamane and midfielder Nicolas Raskin, who are both in demand from potential suitors. (Football Insider) ... IMHO: we value them, so pay higher transfer fees, please! Het Nieuwsblad reports that Aston Villa have started talks with Nicolas Raskin about a potential transfer out of Rangers for the 24-year-old Belgium midfielder. (Het Nieuwsblad via Daily Record) Rangers are keen on a loan deal for right-back Max Aarons, but Bournemouth are believed to favour a permanent exit for the 25-year-old. (Sky Sports) Despite reports in Greece, no deal has been finalised with AEK Athens, who are keen on 30-year-old Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers. (Sky Sports)
  23. Not very likely, since Shea Charles plays deeper than Diomande (who in turn would have more freedom), i.e. DM or even CH. Contracted to Soton till 2027. BTW, IMHO, as much as I like him, if we sell Raskin now, we'll get serious money to rebuild this ailing squad. We can't let these opportunities slip by, in the here and now.
  24. Tough start for Arsenal. They could be bottom half of the table after a couple of months.
  25. If there are offers. Signing one doesn't mean another is leaving, it's not causal. I hope Raskin is sold regardless.
