  1. Not from what I have heard
  2. It was quite the opposite from what I have been told. Barisic wanted to stay but informed the club that if they wanted to go down a different route then he would offer to leave to make space - but wasnt his preference.
  3. Presumably the £80 million plus doesnt include the sales of Aribo and Bassey given they were July sales.
  4. Aye, maybe we should just re-sign Gregg Wylde from Dumbarton to play that position.
  5. Indeed - but when Lawrence is fit Lawrence fills that role after injury then Lundstram in front of the back 4 presumably.
  6. How do you know that isnt at the request of the manager ? He scored a screamer in a pre-season friendly doing exactly that - so it is surprising that he wouldnt want to do it more and/or the manager wouldnt want him to do it. As I say to my kid often.... even if you think the coach has got things wrong, your job is to carry out his instructions - if the shit hits the fan that is on him. Your job is to do as the coach requests of you.
  7. Not me Bill, I know exactly how that story has ended. My point was more for those who still demand it. For me.... no point in screaming into an echo chamber.
  8. Oh I don't disagree at all. Am I offended by their banner ? Not at all. Indeed, I chuckled at how poor an attempt it was. However, it is the lopsidedness that has people all bent out of shape. If that was Kill all (add any Celtic adage) then the usual suspects would be all over it in an attempt to paint Rangers fans as bad. This will be met with "it is just craic" or "it isnt that bad". They created the hate crime bill (which is an abomination in itself) - but if they have introduced it as law then they should be enforcing that law !
  9. We will need to agree to disagree. Like it or not, Borna has been one of our best performers this season, if no the best. Best of a bad bunch ? Perhaps. But better than plenty others who get a fraction of the abuse he gets. Tavernier, for example, goes backwards fairly often too - and yet there are nowhere near the same howls of derision that Borna gets. Does Tav put a tackle in ? He certainly didnt when he spewed Livi's goal last week...... yet, interestingly, I don't see quote the same furore over Tavernier from many of our fanbase. And, yes, I would call that being a whipping boy.
  10. You and I watched a different game them mate. But that is the beauty of the game - it is all about differing opinions. Thought Davies was solid when on the pitch, Lomg gave them barely anything, Sands played well in both roles (I actually think he CAN play the DM role as he reads the game well - but if we play him there then we don't need another alongside him - interestingly, him playing in there allowed Lundstram to play further forward and get his goal), Sakala always looks ungainly but he caused them havoc.
  11. Exactly mate - Borna gets far too much stick. No surprise that he had a good game in a match where Kent actually looked like he was working harder.
  12. Under the SNP government it surely equates to a hate crime
  13. lol, he was on the pitch for 8 minutes. Borna gets some amount of abuse, seems to be the new whipping boy (not from you specifically, but the support in general) yet he actually played really well on Saturday and, indeed, created our 3rd to make the game safe.
  14. Yup. I had a chat with Durrant at Auchenhowie 4 or 5 years ago when he was coaching the B team and that knee that Simpson injured is legitimately about twice the size of his other knee. Horrific challenge.
  15. Same. He was genuinely a generational talent. I remember Gascoigne talking about when he played for England U21's against Scotland and he came up against this kid he hadnt heard of (obviously Durrant) and said that he couldnt get a kick all game - said Durrant was a far better player than himself at that age. Durrant was special. Still angers me that Aberdeen fans glorify the tackle that ruined a Scottish generational talent.
  16. Sure looks like it though. He has signed a 4 yr deal, after 3 months isnt the time to assess whether it was worth it or not, regardless of him presently being injured
  17. And at a good age, with possible re-sale value. His injury history was, IMHO, a risk worth taking. I still felt that Souttar was brought in predominantly because the club thought Goldson wouldnt sign a new deal.
  18. This was just my assumption mate, no inside info at all.
  19. Goldson and Davies is our best partnership. King's time will come, but it doesnt need to be rushed
  20. We should all have known that already though.
  21. Why is Wright getting shat on..... in the Napoli thread.... when he didnt even feature ? Nothing quite like Rangers fans
  22. Couldnt agree more. The amount of our fans who see Borna and immediately think he has had a bad game..... been our best player of late, quite comfortably too.
  23. One of the best sketches of all time
  24. In fairness, the ref got all the penalty incidents correct. He was, strangely, still honking though
  25. Matondo is a headless chicken with a worse first touch than me. Tillman has the heart of a pea They still have a future with us, but they need to up their levels and commitment drastically.
