Where am I showing concern for them ? Where am I defending them ? By suggesting premature accusation does little to help show them up for what they are in the event this may not have been them ? Ive heard the whole “we need to box clever” mantra over the years.... this is one instance where accusing them of stuff without knowing for sure, or even close to being sure, where we are boxing foolishly, IMO of course.

The argument of victimhood still holds up if you exchange my use of the word Tim’s for Green Brigade. They are by far the most vocal group within the Celtic support so if you ever want victimhood to be jumped upon the. Nothing surer than blaming the Green Brigade. Maybe I should have been more specific and used Green Brigade, and my intent wasn’t to widen it to all Celtic fans, but it still doesn’t deflect from making accusations without proof being folly and potentially playing right into their hands. As I said previously we simply won’t agree on this as I see no benefit to making accusations with zero proof whereas you believe their historic actions suggest otherwise. So I’ll agree to disagree with you on this one and leave it at that.

Aberdeen and Celtic players break Covid quarantine rules

Shouldnt be difficult to do anyway with just 300. Virtually pointless exercise at 300. -
Last I checked the Green Brigade were Celtic fans, no ?

Any excuse for a pop at Club1872 rather than actually be objective to the veracity and validity of the questions raised.
-
Yes, they are. I am still awaiting a response from the beginning of August. a response to an email that THEY asked be sent.
-
Maybe that everything is that the club and/or Castore don't want to answer the difficult questions. I can buy a new partnership will have teething problems, but questions still need asked. A personal agenda against Club 1872 shouldnt cloud yours, or anyone's judgement on the veracity of the questions being asked. Not one of the questions being asked by Club 1872 is invalid. Not one. And it tells you everything, but not about Club 1872 it tells you everything about the supposed transparency of the Club and, quite possibly, Castore too.. They still get the benefit of the doubt for me, despite purchasing 3 tops pre-order, with delivery supposedly August 1st - I still didnt have my top by August 11th when I had to come back to Bermuda and now won't get it till the end of September - so pre-ordering, for me, was completely pointless. Not complaining, just providing an instance where it clearly failed. I could have simply used my Mygers points and went to the club store on Aug 6th and purchased on the day but, in my apparent naivety, I thought pre-ordering meant you would get your top from the first batch.

One we could do well without handing to them on a plate and giving them just cause to be so. It is foolish to do so IMO. Either way, I clearly think differently on this subject than you and @Bluedell so will just need to agree to disagree.

He is always very helpful and accommodating to the Rangers youths too - more than willing to assist, help and provide advice. Also more than happy to stay behind after training to help them out.

What's tp be lost ? How about handing the initiative to the Tims to play victims. Same as some on social media were calling Morelos brake cables being cut as "attempted murder by Tims".... only we didn't, probably still don't know it was them. I just don't see what's to be gained by just jumping to the conclusion it is them - surely at least let there be some evidence it was them so that are commenting from a position of power
-
Are you sure ? Maybe we should just accuse her on the basis that she is an ex girlfriend and could be feeling scorned.... no ? I wouldn't either, as I have no proof.... just like the we have no proof (yet) that the Tims did it
-
What's going to happen by making accusations that you have absolutely no proof that it is the Green Brigade ? More negative than waiting to find out for certain it was them - rather than using their historical past to paint them guilty this time.
-
Played against us for Leverkusen....
-
Jumping to conclusions isn’t wise. No matter how likely it is to be correct. What’s to be gained by jumping the gun a couple of days ?
-
Maybe because semi-baseless accusations make us look foolish in the event, unlikely though it may be, that it wasn’t them. it passes any position of strength to them to allow themselves to claim victimhood.

Celtic Boys Club manager 'stuffed banknotes in boy's mouth'
craig replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
The interesting thing with this is the reference to “civil and criminal proceedings”. The criminal proceedings are vital such that the victims get the justice they so richly deserve against the perpetrators of such horrific, heinous crimes. But also interesting will be the civil proceedings. In civil proceedings invariably the plaintiff will chase the deepest pockets - so undoubtedly Gordon, and presumably the many other abuse victims, will be chasing Celtic. This could be absolutely catastrophic for Celtic financially which obviously helps us - however, by far the most important aspect of the civil proceedings for me would be that the many victims receive proper, appropriate financial compensation for what amounted to, in many cases, completely dismantled and ruined lives and, in the case of Andrew Gray, premature death via suicide thanks to the abhorrent actions of those entrusted to nurture and protect him. The perpetrators are the scum of the earth and deserve never to see the light of day again. However, so too the organizations that not just enabled these horrific actions but buried them, swept them under the carpet, denied them and, worse, actually victimized the victims by accusing them of false accusations. Its as sordid an affair as you can get and, if it had been dealt with the way it SHOULD have been, the biggest historical stain on the whole of Scottish sport, EVER. But such is the state of Scotland these days that its far more popular to give a shit about the face painter not being paid than it is about innocent children being sexually abused by those entrusted to protecting them. Scum of the earth ! -
The more clubs interested can only be a good thing for us in terms of a bidding war - though bidding wars are virtually a thing of the past these days as accepted bids are known right away and clubs just match each other. Ideally Alfredo stays as he could still, with focus, be the man to lead us to 55. But if he’s set on going then the sooner the better and for the biggest price possible - in order to allow us to fund that creative midfielder we desperately need.
-
To be fair, what happened with the Alfredo thing - did they ever get to the bottom of that ? Too many of us immediately assumed it was Tims who cut the brake pipes..... only to find out that might not have been what happened. Personally I think it’s a far stronger position to know it was done by them and then call it out than call it out before knowing and potentially end up with egg on the face - because every time thereafter you also will be reminded how wrong you were originally on a previous incident.

He’s a good lad is Cammy. My kid trained with him at KTA a number of time and he came round all the other kids and introduced himself to them. Nice lad

Nice try ?

I watched it, they got pumped. Portugal are a quality outfit, even without Ronaldo

Where do you get “a whole big party of (Messi’s) his game is missing” ? He’s never relied on his height, but did manage to score a Champions League header against Man U in 2009... And, are you sure you’re right ? According to this article (albeit clearly pro-Messi... though NOT anti-Ronaldo) Ronaldo and Messi both got the same distance off the ground in that Ronaldo Juve goal (which was incredible) and Messi’s headed goal in the CL final (which was also amazing as he just seemed to defy gravity and float in the air). included in there is an instance where they went “head-to-head” for their countries and Messi actually won the duel. Im somewhat surprised you use this as a justification for Ronaldo, particularly when BOTH players rely heavily on their feet. Ronaldo scores more headers, undoubtedly though. But to suggest it’s a big part missing from Messi’s game when his team have ALWAYS played the ball on the deck is a tad unfair. I would actually contend that a more telling factor in the “versus” is the number of assists given it’s a team game. Messi has 79 more assists over his career than Ronaldo (Messi’s average assist is over 1 goal per game which is remarkable. 1.15 to be precise) whilst Ronaldo’s is 0.94. And not to be forgotten is that Messi is also a couple of years younger than Ronaldo and Ronaldo has played 145 games more than Messi. Messi’s goal contributions via goals or assists is better than Ronaldo’s.
