  1. Vignal has left as Joint Head Coach of the Women's team
  2. He’ll get far more game time in the SPFL and cups playing for Livvy.
  3. David Silva too, forgot about him. I obviously am not saying that they would go down, but this City team looks like it might need some major overhaul - particularly if they lose Silva, Sterling and even Sane - then look at how weak they are at the CB position - add in that Liverpool don't look like they need significant reinforcement - of the usual starters at Liverpool the only one over 30 is Henderson and he is exactly 30 years old. And add in the fact that City are 20 points behind Liverpool this season, it is a fairly simple conclusion to come to that Liverpool could very well repeat next season.
  4. And McGregor had also gone the loan route - makes perfect sense. Giving a young, fairly untested keeper game time, especially when not critical, could be a disaster, for both the player AND the club.
  5. He is a keeper - he has tons of time on his hands - he can get the same experience being with Livvy rather than us, on loan. McGregor has a year or two left - McCrorie can go and prove himself to be McGregor's replacement elsewhere and, hopefully, helping take points off Celtic at the same time. He won't depose McGregor because McGregor is still, IMO, the best keeper in the country
  6. But they will be losing Sane and possibly Sterling (Sane wants away and Sterling s rumoured to being courted by Real Madrid).
  7. We are unlikely to need to worry as he wont get much, if any, game time so long as McGrgeor stays fit.
  8. I suspect that McCrorie will go back out on loan, possibly to Livvy again, particularly as he would be getting game time - no point in having the lad sit on the bench at Rangers if he is seen as the long term back-up to McGregor
  9. No surprise, and technically a signing, but Defoe has signed a one year permanent deal with us too,
  10. Won't get much game time and presumably a replacement for Wes/Jak Alnwick - but that's ok too. We have McGregor, McLaughlin, Firth and McCrorie. Probably not a huge salary (less than Wes anyway) which is a good thing. I thought we were in for the St Mirren keeper
  11. Not necessarily - we have had plenty of strikers in the past who fit the same, or similar, criteria to Dykes - and the reality when they come to Rangers is markedly different.
  12. the goals comparison is too simplistic though - teams line up against us in a much, much more defensive fashion than they do Livingston. Morelos is considered out main threat and double teamed constantly - Dykes might be Livvy's main threat too but teams would have a go at Livingston far more frequently than they do us. Would Dykes have more space in the final third playing for Rangers or Livvy - I think we all know the answer to that. That doesn't mean I don't think he would be a good signing - just offering balance to the goals comparison.
  13. 32 Red is still the main shirt sponsor. Unibet is a sister company who are sponsoring the training gear. More cash possibly, but possibly not as 32 Red sponsored both last year.
  14. Yes, I think that is the case with Morelos. Still expect him to leave though.
  15. And every single player getting interviewed on Sky afterwards is getting the “what a very powerful statement that was”. Today it was Giroud’s turn.... Because he took a knee at his goal. It’s become vomit-inducing pandering very quickly and it has me wanting to turn the TV off. We get it, we get that you’re fighting for a cause and equality.... but please, for the love if God, stop ramming it down our throats
  16. HMRC will chase both to get full recompense of the full tax avoided. If that means having to chase both club and player then they will do so.
  17. Which part are you missing about the club administering them ? The club administered them on behalf of the players. The taxes due were income taxes, not corporation tax, ergo they chase the players for the taxes. in Celtic’s situation they paid the players their NET wages after deducting tax and the players then invested in these schemes with their net income, and Celtic didn’t have any official involvement - though its highly likely they were the ones that obtained advice on behalf of the players, but they didn’t administer them.
  18. Sorry for the colorful language but.... fuck em. Good enough for them
  19. not just them either. Rangers don’t know what the youth and development league will look like - and that’s even if there is one.... seems a number of teams are considering scrapping their youth development teams
  20. Far too big a risk and you also are highly likely to see other players such as Jack, Morelos, Hagi etc demand salary parity.
  21. All of which could, and should, have been avoided. Not only because they could have finished the season but also, from a Celtic perspective, they would have been almost certain to win the league anyway
  22. Hahahaha - wonder how much of the "they're skint" we will see given that was the EXACT terminology we saw when we had our credit facility with Close Brothers
  23. As Gonzo says, the issue with this, and MSM, is that the apology is buried and is never given even close to the same exposure as the original offensive, inaccurate lies. What SHOULD happen in this instance is that NUS Scotland should replace him as the President-elect for his blatant lying. Won't happen but there should be consequences to such inflammatory lies.
  24. Of course Les Gray would say that... his team is second bottom and he’s desperate to start the season so nothing more can be done !
