Fabregas seems happy at Arsenal and is on a long contract so not so sure. When he hits 30 I could see him leaving to wind down his career at one of them. Hleb said he would love him at Barca as he is his best friend - but nothing in it really. The interviewer gave a leading question which was very unfair.

Honestly, no I wouldn't. There are players out there who are better value for money than Henry. Plus, when Henry was there they had to play to suit him - their brand of football without hm is better.

Was a decent game and, to be fair, Utd tried to get the ball on the deck and play - but 2nd half Messi was in a class of his own. Etoo played OK. Henry was awful, should have had a hat trick and missed some decent chances.

The first half against Utd they didnt look that great.... then they took off Henry and Gudjohnsen at HT and replaced them with Messi and Etoo - Messi in the 2nd half was incredible - hat trick in 24 mins. What a player.

Disagree - there were PLENTY of rumblings amongst the support regarding the lack of creativity long before we "failed" in the UEFA and SPL. If you what you meant was about the meaningless friendlies I do agree. However, this particular friendly should have been one where we were looking for a confidence boost as our next game is an important CL tie. We never got that boost but hopefully it wont have any impact anyway.

Given how close we were to being historic last year this is the most frustrating thing.... we do not look like we have progressed our team since last season. We should be sitting here discussing who we would like to get in the 3rd round qualifier yet we have a 2nd round qualifier which is no gimme, even though it should be.

You were making your opinions known at the start of your paragraph but then showed yourself up in the latter part - this is NOT FF and the members here have healthy debate - but generally everyone is at least RESPECTFUL. You shouldn't have called johnnyk a clown - that was disrespectful and uncalled for.

You almost actually prove my point. You arent happy that the fans are not supporting the team yet then make that statement about the lack of creativity - which is EXACTLY why the fans are disgruntled.

You are missing the point IMO. Look at my post and I did say they were "only" pre-season friendlies. Much of the angst is that the team are not playing well, not creating and not signing that creative spark we want to see. I am not too bothered by pre-season friendlies personally - but why should the fans NOT criticise ? They are entitled to that opinion even if it differs with yours or mine - constructive criticism is healthy...... sadly much of the criticism falls into the destructive kind.

He is entitled to his opinion johnny - and, to be fair, many fans feel the same way. Are you happy with the performances or results ? Pre-season games they may be, but the same lack of creativity from last season is still there - do you see any of the personnel we have at our disposal ? I don't.

I have to admit that I fear the worst - almost entirely down to the lack of creativity in our team and that we havent strengthened where we know we should have. That said, there is still a long time left in the transfer window. If we had signed a creative midfielder I would be feeling much more comfortable right now.
