Possibly Pete. But I am not convinced Novo would necessarily get in Hutton's way. Novo is decent at tracking back too, actually when it comes to tracking back I reckon he may even be better than Whittaker - he just isn't a defender is the problem.

I see it that way too - but I think that Whittaker has under-performed and it is time to give someone else a shout in there, Novo for sure deserves a shot, and how about moving Lee McCulloch over to right and giving Gow a shot at LM ?

Nah, I just don't tell the wife !! These guys have 15 years of continuous profits so I went in with them with a bank of 1,000 quid. Luckily got some winners to start so it softened the blow when I had losers. I think I am in a winning position now, but it will be close after all their fees are taken into account. Once had 100 quid in an account which I hadn't touched in ages, put it all on the Gers to beat Anorthosis Famagusta away... they won and over a 6 week period I took that 100 quid to 2,000 quid. Then got "unlucky" and lost it all....... the usual gambling thing.

I don't think gisabeer is saying that Hemdani should be playing instead of Whittaker - I think he was saying that 1) he rates Hemdani and 2) he doesn't rate Whittaker. The 2 are mutually exclusive.

Disagree Gribz, to an extent. Rangers looked far more productive and far more potent in the 2nd half of that game... and it was plain to see that it was thanks to BF's inclusion. Hemdani we can't say as he wasn't involved - but IMO Rangers were a good yard sharper in the 2nd half and were being pushed much harder thanks to BF being in there. You could argue (weakly admittedly) that the 2nd half of that game was 2-2 so including BF could have resulted in us not getting beat. BF is a better player than Hemdani, no doubt.

You can't just assume that Hemdani would be playing better Gribz... his form at the start of this season was poor, which is why he has been dumped (I would think) from the SPL line up. Maybe we would be playing better, maybe not. But having watched the Hearts game last week I am 100% sure that the straight swap between KT and Hemdani would not have changed that result.

What am I missing ? What did they screw up ?

I was one of those that felt Ferguson was not playing to his full potential under PLG and wouldn't have been disappointed had he left. However, the way he has played this season proves he is our most influential player and his contribution has been priceless. I suspect that if Hemdani was the main man in the middle of the park we would be playing a much slower game which, IMO, wouldn't suit us in the SPL where teams get behind the ball quickly. Hemdanis is much more effective when breaking up play and making the simple pass - but this is more often required in Europe than in the SPL because in the SPL the other team don't commit too many men forward. RE Whittaker I have to agree with gisabeer - he has been largely unimpressive to me - I would prefer to go with Novo. Whittaker doesn't beat players, is not much more than a solid midfielder and when we are bereft of true creativity in the team it means we have no-one to get in behind the other team and get good cross balls in (which I am sure Boyd, Darcheville and Cousin would appreciate). Whittaker is a decent player but has been uninspiring thus far.

I can't be bothered getting into the political aspect of this but if the great British govt wanted to make the country healthier by reducing the intake of cigarettes instead of banning cigs from public venues they would ban them altogether - they are addictive and a drug after all - but then, I guess the reason they won't ban them altogether is the tax revenues they gain. Maybe, but WS obviously feels that Hemdani is more suited to Euro games but KT is a player who is more suited to the SPL than Hemdani, or complements BF better. The one thing is that whilst we are winning games surely WS gets the benefit of the doubt. The other thing which I find much more surprising that his choice of KT over BH is that Faye gets a place on the bench before Hemdani does. As has been said, Hemdani is much better but also more versatile, I think.
