  1. I agree and wouldn't be surprised if it is Man U, given Neville is getting on a bit.
  2. Mine is the same too Frankie - no biggie though although it is nice to have the other page as it shows who is online.... so when I see Gribz online I just avoid coming on to Gersnet :fish:
  3. Beattie, that is just cruel luck man - you are due a good win with luck like that though - want me to post up my horses tomorrow ?
  4. Sweet - put a cheeky wee 25 quid on the draw tonight - good old Rangers know when to get the result when I have backed them !

    Taxi!!!

    Excellent stuff Pete !
  6. craig

    9 bookings!!

What a tit. Poor wee Artur is annoyed because he was teased by the Gers players..... and what about his teasing of the fans with his OTT religious showing when they come to Ibrox ? As Jon says - his antics made him look stupid but his rantings above make him even more of a tit AND they make him look like a spoilt child FANNY!
  7. "We are both looking at Barca winning in Glasgow and in Spain so Rangers are in a false position because of the way the fixtures have fallen. What he doesn't go on to say is that both Stuttgart and Lyon both have to play Barca too, so even if one of them were to get 6 points from both games they would likely need to get a result against the strongest team in the group. And more so his team who have to go to the Nou Camp. Not convinced his synopsis makes too much sense to me - it possibly would if we were not 6 points above both Lyon and Barca, though to be fair I still think we will get it tough from Lyon at Ibrox. Here's hoping we can get at least 3 points from the 2 Barca games to make us (almost) safe and hope that Stuttgart and Lyon do cut each other up and only get 2 points from their 2 head to heads to make it definitely safe !
  8. Good shout that man. I think that central in the Copland it is the Cup Winners Cup (or Fairs Cup for the oldies like Jon :fish:) and it is flanked on one side by 19 and the other side 72.
  9. I thought this thread was going to be all about the paranoia spewing from mechanodome about how we got a biased (and therefore lucky) ref :fish:
  10. I would only have Nakamura as a squad player - I can't believe I agree with young Fraser but I do think he is a one trick pony. He has never really troubled us and IMO only shows a decent level of skill and ability when he plays against lesser teams or when things are easy. I wouldn't want him in my team for a difficult game. he has never really produced against us - in fact I always hope he is in their team against us as he more often than not is a passenger. I would take Brown for reasons I suggested in the other thread. I would take McManus too as I think that he could forge an excellent partnership with Cuellar when Weir retires. I think he is a better player than Webster (although to be fair Webster has been unfortunate with injuries and could very well become our version of McManus).
  11. Deco was born in Brazil but chose to represent Portugal through dual nationality
  12. Yep, he winks at McGeady as if to say "you are easy son"
  13. I have to agree with those supporting Scott Brown on this topic. Scott Brown is a young kid and has a great deal of talent (I think that he isn't as talented as Fergie was at that age but is reasonably close). It was only 6 months ago that we ALL were screaming his praises because we felt he would be signing for us. I would take Scott Brown in a heart-beat. He has raw talent and, as Gav says, he will mature with time. The one thing I use as a yardstick is when a player signs for them if you feel regret as a Gers fan that he hasn't signed for us - and I felt that when he signed for Celtic. He has the potential to be a great player. Kevin Thomson had a very effective game on Saturday and does the simple things well. And I think that KT will be a very good player for us - but I also feel that Scott Brown will turn into the type of player that a manager will build his team around, KT isn't that type of player IMO. Scott Brown would work very well beside BF if you ask me - they could take turns in going forward and would confuse the opposition midfield on who to pick up and when. They both have a great engine too and would give us 90 mins of energy.
  14. Absolutely agree. He deserves to have a superiority complex on the park right now with the way he is playing. He is definitely the best RB in britain right now and you would be hard pushed to find a RB in Europe who matches him. The arrogance/confidence was oozing out of him on Saturday - when he made that challenge on McGeady on the touchline he simply got up, turned to Mcgeady and gave him a wink as if to say "try all the fancy wee tricks you like today son but you are NOT getting past me". Hutton, as it stands right now, would be our player of the year - although it is far too early for those awards to be handed out.
  15. I know - very rare they select 3 in the same race !
  16. I just got 3 tips Gribz - but they are all in the same race. Commercial Flyer, Ardaghey, Keenan's Future (# 5, 6 and 9 all in the same race - 4.05 at Cheltenham) - they are basically betting on 3 horses in the same race. the first 2 I have bet 50 quid to win and the 3rd one is 25 quid each way. So if you wanted that bet but not betting as heavily as me just scale it down.
  17. yep, I have the same problem, but only a minor issue
  18. Surely not.... Republic of Glasgow were in USA 94.... :fish:
  19. As long as there is a chance, even if slim, that he can come back then I think the club would be extremely foolish to release him.
  20. I actually thought, in his first number of postings, that he was one of the few reasoned, level-headed, non-paranoid Tims - but this subject obviously got to him and he reverted to type. Didn't provide evidence or proof to support ANY of his (OR Spiers) suggestions, his defence was based on deflection and without any substance. Must have been quite a rant for Frankie to have banned him (or are those sleepless nights now starting to get to you Frankie ? :fish:). Just how is the little one doing ?
  21. And you hit the nail on the head Frankie - as I said in my first retort to BC2... not once does Spiers, in his article, prove that one is worse than the other - yet BC2 very conveniently considered Spiers rantings as proof positive. Subsequent to that not one piece of evidence has been provided to prove Rangers problem is "significantly worse". Indeed, with Cammy's posts pointing some of the instances where both have been as bad as each other (the number of deaths in the last 15 years for instance) that post was ignored - convenient ? Of course it is. Oh and Spiers isn't really discussing anything - he is merely trying to throw as much shit as he can and hope that some of it sticks.
  22. Not always the case Gribz. Some races you get early prices and others you don't. If there are no early prices then SP is all you can get. Good work with your double.
  23. I just gave you one. A practicing Roman Catholic Rangers fan, I would have thought, loves Catholics. Am I not explaining it well enough ?
  24. OK, well to take your example.... I have a couple of friends who are Catholic brothers - one supports Celtic and one supports Rangers - so there is an example of Rangers fans loving catholics, and worse.... Celtic supporting Catholics. Generalisations are there to be shot at....
  25. As there is no evidence to suggest that the problem is equal there likewise isn't enough evidence to suggest it is not. I think you are reading too much into it. I say that they are no better than Rangers because I know, and acknowledge, that Rangers have a problem (which is trying to be dealt with) hence I would not say that either party is any better than the other - I like to call it equitable treatment, but you see it as some form of acceptance that Celtic are no worse than an equal partner in the problem, not so.
