I bet it was stewarty...... obviously didn't want to be at Parkhead again so thought he should just get banned !

The punishment for Celtic should be no less than it was for Gers with the Tim who came on against the Israeli mob and made his "statement". Why ? Because the Tim at Ibrox didn't make any effort to get near players whilst the Tim at Parkhead made for a player. Both of them could have hit a player or worse as they both had ample opportunity. Again, it will be interesting to see if UEFA apply consistency. It is also amusing to see Celtic trying to deflect the criticism to Dida. Makes no difference if Dida was being a tit (which he was) the fact of the matter is that Celtic's policing and stewarding was insufficient and they deserve to be punished for it. Apparently the guy who made the field is still being searched for - which makes the policing and stewarding all the poorer.

Agreed totally BC2 - there was a tinge of regret when I found out the Celtic score last night but then on realising that it gives the WHOLE of Scottish football a shot in the arm to be beating these teams I was happy enough for you guys to get the win. Great month for Scottish football (Celtic's Donetsk debacle and this stupid fan aside) but the hard work is only just beginning. I always feel that you don't get a proper sense of the CL group stages until 4 games have been played - for us that means hopefully sneaking at least a point off Barca in 2 games and a watchful eye over the other teams. For Celtic it means them needing to secure 4 points against Benfica in my opinion. Celtic's last 2 games couldn't be harder - away to no doubt a fired up Milan and at home to a very dangerous Shaktar. Likewise with Scotland, the hard work is only just beginning. But we, as OF fans, should be milking this week as much as we possibly can, has to be one of the best week's, and month's, in Scottish football history !

Weir's yellow should be rescinded and Juninho should get a 2 match ban..... consistency surely - his dive was every bit as bad as Mikoliunas !

Sorry Frankie but I have to disagree. I haven't watched the 2nd half yet but there were certainly a couple of occasions int he first half where, yet again, he allowed himself to be pulled too narrow and then we found oirselves in danger as a ball was pushed over the top of him to a player (Grosso) who had about 10-15 yards of space. Hutton still has a tendency to be pulled narrow - last season it was being put down to him having to cover poor CB's - but this season that same excuse can't be made. Don't get me wrong I am a BIG fan of Hutton - he has a great engine and it amazes me the stamina he has to get up and down the flank for 90 mins but he still does have weaknesses. Johnny... regarding his contribution for the 1st and 2nd goals more than making up for his mistakes... I disagree. On another day his contribution would have resulted in no goals but his mistakes would have resulted in us being 2 or 3 goals down. Even Alan Hutton would prefer to see the mistakes he makes - because without realising your mistakes you can't eradicate them. But WOW - what a result !!

Nope, I forgot about placing the bet till I was watching the game :uzi:

Or maybe so..... thanks to a goal 5 mins from time for Fener..... Dammit ! Gers at 8/1, might take a punt on that !
-
Or maybe not...... CSKA now 2-1 up - 2 goals in the 1st 10 mins of the 2nd half
-
NUTS ! May need another coupon tonight now !
-
Bet for tonight is.... CSKA Moscow vs Fenerbahce Stuttgart vs Barcelona Rosenborg vs Schalke Celtic vs AC Milan Pays out at 14/1
-
Nope, I don't think Roma will get the win at OT tonight.

It most certainly can be addictive Barry... but when you counter it with "if I put X quid on I could lose X quid" for many folks it turns them away !

Fair point BC - but the rules don't necessarily mean that the rules are correct - just that they have been deemed that way by rule-makers.

Time for Some Mild Criticism ââ?¬â?? to Rotate or Not to Rotate?
craig replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
The type of post that I wouldn't expect from a Celtic fan - but one which truly appreciates what BF can bring to a team. You seem to be a credit as a fan to your club. -
Why then is it so offensive to the masses at Parkhead for people like Gascoigne to mimic playing a flute ? Surely mimicking a musical instrument should cause no offence ? That is how silly this all is. The thing is BC2.... whilst I actually agree that blessing oneself should not cause offence (it doesn't offend me one little bit when utilised as a religious blessing) it WILL cause offence when the person blessing oneself KNOWS that it will cause offence and, more importantly, blesses himself because he WANTS them to feel offended and wants to very loosely use his religion as a means to achieve it. That is inciteful behaviour. Boruc is a very good keeper (recent blunders aside) but he actually does believe his own hype. Gary Caldwell's remarks about him being "undoubtedly the best keeper in the world" was actually cringeworthy given there are some keepers who are significantly better than him such as Buffon, Cech, Coupet to name but a few. I have a feeling that his antics and gesticulations to fans could well cause him a move to a bigger club - Celtic's gain I guess but certainly not his own. Sadly he acts like a child when on the pitch.

Fergie is probably shitting himself in the WS and AM era too.... see, it maybe cynical me (probably is) but both WS and AM are worshipped by Rangers fans than BF ever will be..... so he can't really pull too many stunts whilst WS and AM are in charge - because the fans are likely to side with WS and AM.
-
BC2, A well mannered post as usual and one expected of you, you certainly seem intelligent enough. However, if you for ONE minute think that Artur Boruc dpesn't know that he is inciting by blessing himself in front of the Rangers fans then you are either deluded or in denial. It is blatantly obvious with his antics that he knows what he is doing, blatantly obvious ! You quote an article in tfrom the press... ONE article... does that mean that the Times Online should be the gospel when it comes to events on a football pitch ? I wouldn't have thought so. You have a right to defend Boruc if you so please - but if he didn't act like a tit all the time there would be nothing to defend. It isn't as if this is his only indiscretion...... or do you really need reminding of his antics which embarrassed even Neil Lennon after the OF game last season ?

Derby v Bolton is a hit and miss IMO - could work but just as likely to bust you. Blackburn I like and Pompey I like I took Aberdeen at home to Gretna Liverpool away to Wigan Leeds away to Gillingham Cardiff away to Barnsley Hartlepool at home to Walsall In other words.... Gav's coupon with Aberdeen thrown in. Pays almost 20/1

I'm sure he has money but he doesn;t need it to be Chairman

Nice one my man.... although it is usually just the ladies that I send to bed happy

No brainer for me.... Wenger all the way. Wenger can build a team full of youngsters who can play the type of football we all love to watch. Mourinho is an excellent coach but has a way to go before he reaches the heights Wenger has.
-
Gav, I actually like that bet this week - Cardiff have to come good sometime with the squad and team they have and the rest I think are solid bets too. I managed to get 4/1 on Leeds to win League One after they had went 5 games unbeaten - I think that is a great sleeper bet for the year.

Online betting accounts I use are Blue Square, Centrebet, Ladbrokes, Pinnacle (for US sports only) and bet365

But if you lose 1 quid on each of those 3 million bets but win 5 million on the one bet then you are up 2 million........ not that pish Gav !!
-
Holy shit !! I hope you boys bet those horses today...... Levitski - I put 200 on it at 4/7 Heights of Golan - I put 200 on it at 7/2 Shesthebiscuits - I put 200 on it at 5/2 All 3 won..... And to make matters better.... I thought I had put a 50 quid treble on but it turns out that it was a 50 quid trixie..... I didn't even know what a trixie was !!!! Turns out it is a 50 quid treble plus 3 50 quid doubles. I was up 3,925 quid today - I honestly still cannot believe it !!! And what makes it even sweeter is that Heights of Golan was in a dead heat, and the bookies still have to pay out on dead heat winners. R.B. - enjoy those winnings my man. Gav......
