  1. Surely not Gav, surely not ? OK, time for the blinkers......
  2. Or like the journo you just linked to and completely bereft of evidence yet it still, in your eyes, "destroys a fallacy" You seriously think that Spiers is unbiased ? I think not.
  3. Pretty sure something in similar vein could be levelled at Celtic. It isn't a one way street no matter how hard you try to make it one.
  4. Did you honestly believe this when you typed it ? Maybe I have simply lost the art of deciphering a newspaper article (online or othersie) but can you please point out where the journalist "destroys the fallacy" ? Seriously BC2, I have always thought you a reasonable poster on here but there is NOT ONE piece of evidence that Spiers offers to support his claim that Rangers are worse offenders than Celtic - yet you blindly support him for destroying a fallacy - he destroys nothing but merely pushes his own opinion with, as per usual, evidence lacking in entirety.
  5. You honestly believe that Celtc don't have the same problem that Rangers do ? You need to release yourself from your high horse my friend, the problem is as bad at CP as it is at Ibrox.
  6. I would potentially give your post some credibility but anyone who thinks Gordon Smith is anything other than a stand up, honest individual has their blinkers on. Utter tosh to suggest he is not impartial - he is a well educated man who will deal with his position as CEO in the manner it deserves and without prejudice, I have no doubts about that at all. To suggest otherwise smacks of paranoia.
  7. With most bookies these days you can select either current odds OR SP, sometimes works in your favour, sometimes not - but if you get a winner you don't worry too much about it.
  8. SP is simply the price available when the race starts, very common terminology.
  9. And don't forget that Davie Weir now runs the risk of being suspended for a game and all because he was the victim of a dive. Shocking double standards.
  10. I have no issue with their fine either - but I do have issue with the difference in treatment between Dida and Juninho
  11. unreal - again this smacks of inconsistency. What Dida did amounts to simulation (correct ? he pretty much feigned injury) - absolutely no different to what Juninho did against us, yet Juninho gets off with no consequence. Unreal
  12. Surely it is also a mathematical impossibility for there to presently be 1,200,000 million people in the Rangers fanmily if there is not that many people in the world ??? I didn't question the number of people in the world, but the number of people in the Rangers family. Mathematical... factual.... all the same thing really :fish:
  13. "With an estimated 1,200,000 million members of the Rangers Family, the season ticket holders and the shareholders offer us two practical methods of granting a vote to the fans." Frankie..... that statement above is mathematically impossible - 1,200,000 million is more people than the world has in it. I would reckon you mean either 1,200,000 or 1.2 million. Sorry for being pedantic, it is an accountant thing.
  14. Steal his ticket and go to Barca yourself - he definitely won't forget that in a hurry  If you have the cash then I would spring for the Gers home top with surname 18 and away top with Barca 07 on it.
  15. The thing that annoys me most is that we now have a stronger squad than we have had for some time and yet we are chopping and changing for SPL and CL games. Sorry but I agree with gisabeer - we should be fielding our strongest 11 ALL the time (unless someone is obviously fatigued, suspended or injured) and if we get injuries then you bring in one of your squad players, who should be able to do a job - and if you aren't confident they can do a job (at least in the SPL) then why were they signed in the first place ? Play the strongest team that you have available in EVERY match - the CL is a luxurious bonus for us, the SPL is our bread and butter - no sacrificing the SPL for a nice European run for this bear !
  16. Disagree. AZ are still a very good Dutch team. Zenit have spent money and are a very decent team too. Larissa put Blackburn out so are no mugs. I think Spurs have the easiest British group.
  17. I think WS went with purchasing solid players as he had to stabilise the squad and team. But with the start we initially made I feel he could have been a bit more adventurous with his choice of personnel. Gow, Naismith, Novo, Burke even - players who can change a game if given the chance. So.... team rotation is WS tactics - not one of those players were involved vs Lyon so why not play them against Hibs ? They are all proven SPL players, so why not let them prove themselves good enough for Rangers in the SPL ? But WS goes with Whittaker and Adam - Whittaker is the SAFE option because he covers for Hutton when he makes his runs - but that really leaves you playing with a RB who makes attacking runs and another RB trying to play RM. Give Novo a chance at RM - he has more flair than Whittaker, more pace, is more attacking - but he also tracks back very well indeed. Adam IMO offers very little other than set pieces - but if a player is getting a game at Rangers SOLELY because he is a threat at set pieces then it is a travesty. I would give Gow or Naismith the nod there - they couldn't be any worse than the guys were at the weekend.
  18. Agreed. He showed promise AND determination in playing in LA. Deserves a chance ahead of some like Adam who has done nothing in his last couple of SPL starts.
  19. Which is the EXACT same attitude we saw from Rangers players 2 years ago during our CL run. Pumped up for the big CL night and then CHEATING the punters on an SPL weekend game !
  20. But according to Murray it want Brown's transfer fee that was the problem, it was the salary he was looking for, and getting offered, at Parkhead. He said that paying Brown 25k a week would have sent the wrong signals to the other young players ni the squad and would have screwed up the wage budget. IMO we should have tried to secure Brown in January instead of Thomson - and given a choice I would have saved the cash on Thomson and Whittaker and taken Brown and gven him the wages he wanted.
  21. I think that Rangers and Celtic's results were equally impressive. If we had beaten Lyon at home by that score I may have said that Celtic's result shaded it as they were playing the CL holders - but the fact we went away to a quality team such as Lyon and picked up a win makes it a draw for me.

    Good News!

My 3 yr old was watching the CL with me the other night and the TV showed highlights of the Bears humping Lyon and as soon as he saw the famous blue shirts he shouted at the top of his voice "Rangers the best" !! I am a happy and proud father already !
  23. I don't buy that excuse. It perhaps didn't affect the outcome of the match but it very very nearly DID. On top of that we could be left without one of our key players in a subsequent game (which could be a crucial game) due to that booking - the booking should be rescinded and, at the very least, Juninho should get a yellow card tagged to his record.

    Good News!

nice one gisa - your nephew will be chuffed too!
  25. I had a 33/1 winner on the gg's yesterday - 25 quid each way, that will do nicely !
