  1. what truth does he speaketh ? For those Bears who don't frequent FF ?
  2. Hope you didn't bet it Gribz - damn Viduka !!
  3. I am not sure that they speak English let along sing it.... obviously thinking of the Queen's English....
  4. Speaking of stupid... anyone hear about Jason McAteer being in a nightclub in Ireland and upon seeing Jimmy White shouts........ wait for it........ "One Hundred and Eighty" Tit !
  5. All of which is why I am glad I only ever use Gersnet. That is not just insane or bizarre but sheer stupidity as well !
  6. See, you are being converted Jim
  7. There is a report in the online Scotsman today that Ivanauskas is to take a different role at Hearts - he is to be director of football. His replacement is coming from......... the FAROE ISLANDS Surely Vlad is taking the piss ?
  8. Whilst Chelski are spending a shitload of money on trying to BUY the best players and the best squad, Wenger is doing what Fergie did back in the late 80's and early 90's..... getting the best young talent and bringing them through the ranks. I would find much more of an achievement going Wenger's route as opposed to Mourinho's.
  9. Do you really think Arsenal were TRYING to win the trophy Jon ? Look at the respective teams put out on the field...... One of them had their strongest team out whilst the other had their strongest kids out.....
  10. That as may be but he then had no need to be squaring up to the player, despite the player booting the ball at him. Although, to be fair, in a high tension game like that it would be hard to keep your emotions in check.
  11. Exactly Barry - and for this reason he shouldn't be pissed off at Klos starting as it is in the best interests of the team - even if his sending off WAS unfair, he shouldn't have squared up to the guy as we ALL know that these teams have a tendency to cheat !
  12. It is very similar to the Man U v Fulham thread yesterday. It is these late goals that Champions are made of !! They KNOW how to win and they REFUSE to be beaten !
  13. Looks more like a men vs boys game. 1-1 after 20 mins
  14. Best post on here for a while Mike - excellent !!
  15. I know what you are saying too Ian but your defence of McGregor is based on an assumption (you are assuming that if McGregor did something to justify being sent off then it was because the other player must have done something first). UEFA won't act on assumptions, which is a shame because I have HUGE doubts that given a Gers goal had just been scored at the other end that the linesman that "saw" the incident was even looking at what was happening between McGregor and the other player. Sadly, the ref took action on the night based, IMO, on what the linesman ASSUMED happened - however, after the game there is no way UEFA will act based on assumed events.
  16. 1-0 Half time - come on the Caley !!
  17. I doubt that it could be construed as evidence Ian - Not every action is the result of someone else's action. There is no way UEFA would let McGregor off just because the other player didn't get booked.
  18. I know what you are saying about Keane and Vieira but my argument is that they are too similar to play beside each other and both too defence minded. I like to have one attacking mid and one holding mid - Keane would definitely be my holding mid but I would put Cantona in instead of Vieira. Gascoigne would run Cantona close as well though - even though he played much of his career outside the EPL he was still quality whilst at Newcastle and Spurs and still had flashes of genius when at Everton and Middlesborough ! All about opinions though, right ?
  19. Not quite a no-brainer Gribz but my choice would be Klos. McGregor will know that picking Klos is simply short-term to give Klos games for match-fitness for Europe, so he won't be overly pissed off I can't imagine. Klos will have the chance for a few games to wind-down into retirement. The club has a keeper who is match-fit for the only competition we have any chance in this season (no matter how slim that chance is). Playing Klos is, for me, a win-win situation all round.
  20. I find it very hard to disagree with your team Gribz - maybe I just have a personal dislike to Neville but I think I would possibly go for Lee Dixon (or was he pre-EPL ?). Terry will definitely eventually be in the EPL all-time team but he hasn't been in it long enough yet to be in the team (IMO). I don't know who I would pick though, maybe Bruce ? The other thing is that I would be tempted to take Vieira out and put Cantona in - have Keane as the holding midfielder and Cantona as the attacking mid. Vieira and Keane are too similar of a player to be in the same team. But I am thinking that this isn't what this X1 is all about.
  21. But would you not be picking Lehmann ahead of Schmeichel......
  22. Late goals like that are what Champions are made of. I reckon Man U are going to hold onto their lead in the run-in !
  23. I know what you are saying Gav - but I would like to think that McGregor would see the sole reason behind playing Klos in the next few SPL games would be to get him match fit for the European game. I would like to think that it wouldn't upset him too much. Although I can see WS going with what you say.
  24. I say Yes, Klos is a quality keeper and can be counted on. It is unfortunate for McGregor as he has done well but, as you say, UEFA Cup is our only highlight of the season. What clinches choosing Klos over McGregor for me is that I believe we will get 2nd place in the SPL with EITHER of them but with Mcgregor out of the UEFA game(s) it stands to reason we need to get Klos match-fit. To give Robinson a chance would be unfair on him at such a young age and without the necessary experience.
