You should complain again Frankie - that is no more than flipping the finger at us, again ! What an arrogant tosser.

Yep, Ehiogu's contract is 18 months. I think Weir will play another year - he has never played with a club as big as us and has never played CL football which hopefully we will secure for next season.

Not sure I would bet Mubich and Real Madrid seeing as one of them goes out tonight. But at those odds it is a decent hedge bet. I can see Man U doing it this year.

THAT was crazy !!!

1-0 to Porto !!!!!!!! Come on Porto

I thought it was a 6 month loan too - but even if it was it makes no difference as his contract is set to expire in June anyway so we could still sign him (unless gazumped, which I couldn't see happening).

Holt played for the Tims for a couple of seasons I think - must be said it was when they were shite and he never made the first team I don't think (he had been in the army, as a chef no less, and then got signed by Celtic). He ended up at Killie - he is a Killie lad through and through (has the club's crest tattoed on his leg) so was glad to have moved to Rugby Park. EDIT : Just checked on Wikipedia and my thought was confirmed - he even was capped for Scotland - unreal !

I see McDonald, Gow and Broadfoot as cheap squad fillers. WS has said on a number of occasions that we have a very small squad and given I think that we all recognise that we don't have a ton of money to spend on bolstering the squad I think, at least with Gow and McDonald, they have proven themselves in the SPL and would be decent squad players. I haven't seen much of Broadfoot but again he will be a cheap squad filler and given his age he will no doubt be one for the future. I tend to disagree that with these guys signing people will have to go - you can bet that the combined wages of these 3 will still not come close to what Klos was earning - so we could have these 3 as ADDITIONS to the squad without it costing the club any more in wages than they currently pay. Obviously we will also need another keeper - but Klos' wages might even cover that 4th player !

When I played with Killie Boys Club I would have said the same about Gary Holt. He played alongside me - he played right mid whilst I played LB. He was OK but nothing fantastic - at that time the main thing he had going for him was that he had a great engine. How surprised was I when he signed for Celtic ?? HUGELY.

Glad to see the club taking a stance against that vermin McNee !! I think a last warning is the right thing to do - however, I also think that the club should, if they havent already done so, publicly state that they have placed both he and his rag on a last warning - that way when he inevitably does err again everyone knows he should be booted and there really can be no vilification of the club for taking a stance. If it isn't publicly known and we DO kick him out of Ibroc you can already imagine the inches he will give to kicking our great club once more - and with no real need to sit on the fence.

I know you didn't say it was Barry - just pointing out the obvious.

Seeing WS in the dugout at Easter Road yesterday just somehow looked "right" whereas with PLG something just never fell into place. And you could see the passion from both he and Coisty when Ehiogu clearly won the ball in the 2nd half with a sliding tackle on a Hibs player but the ref gave a foul. WS and AM both looked like their faces were about to burst. The things they will demand from this team is commitment, drive and effort - and we have been getting that consistently since they came in.

The difference in the goalies was the difference in the match - but that could be said even if McGregor had made NO saves of note ! Just because one keeper was pish doesn't automatically mean the other should get MOTM. McGregor DID have a couple of outstanding saves, the one from Fletcher (I think) and then Brown - the one from Brown he couldn't have timed any better. Although, the game was ended as a contest when their keeper lost that goal and then within about 2 minutes McGregor had that outstanding save. Had that been Klos we would have been talking about the keeper earning us points. As it is McGregor we still look for his faults before his positives. I still voted Hutton - but what muppet voted Prso ?

I was probably more pissed off at Colshy than his rant. Sidwell won't end up at either side of the OF !

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/heart_of_midlothian/6413109.stm Hearts have announced that sporting director Anatoly Korobochka is filling the role of interim head coach in Valdas Ivanauskas' absence. The Scottish Premier League club say that Ivanauskas "is away on football business on behalf of the club" as speculation mounts about his future. Korobochka has been taking training with first-team coach Stevie Frail. Frail said: "Valdas is away on football duty. I don't know how long that will go on for, but I don't see a problem." Korobochka, now in his 50s, played for CSKA Moscow, where he also had a football development role. He arrived at Tynecastle last year as sporting director along with Eduard Malofeev, the consultant who himself had an ill-fated six-game spell as interim head coach in October. That was during Ivanauskas' last, month-long spell away from Hearts for which ill-health was cited as the reason on that occasion. They just said Valdas will be returning, but I don't know in what role Hearts first-team coach Stevie Frail Speculation has mounted that Hearts were about to appoint former Vilnius assistant Kestutis Latoza as their new head coach, with Ivanauskas being moved to a director's role. And Frail was only able to shed light on what was happening ahead of Monday's Scottish Premier League meeting with Motherwell. "The situation is that I have been taking training for the last couple of weeks," said Frail. "I have been in touch with Anatoly, who has been here the whole time, so basically I have been told to get on with organising the team and preparing it for Monday night. "Anatoly has been keeping me right with things and he has been feeding that back to Valdas. "They just said Valdas will be returning, but I don't know in what role. "I will leave that to the people that make the decisions on that side. "I don't really see there being a problem, I have been really enjoying taking the training and getting things ready. "We have spoken to the players and kept them in the loop about what is going on. "It is not as if it's a new face that has come in. "They are used to me being here and we have got professionals that have dealt with this in the past when we got into the Champions League and won the Scottish Cup." Frail also admitted club owner Vladimir Romanov is bound to have a say in team selection. "We have teams in mind and what we are going to do," he added. "I have got a team in mind. I know Anatoly is wanting to see it and that will go to Mr Romanov. "I imagine we will all sit down a pick a team together."

He may be a big gamble but in my opinion less of a gamble than our other option, Robinson !

Gers are appealing it

His equaliser against the Tims..... Again I agree - his play is more the breaking up of the opposition attacking so doesn't get noticed as much as the "flair" players - but he has been very effective for us this season.
-
Completely agree Mike ! Was just thinking about this before reading the thread and my thoughts are exactly like yours. We need to strengthen the spine of the team (Weir and Ehiogu are doing well biut won't be around forever), we need someone to play beside Fergie and we need someone to bolster the front line. Aside from that we still, after about 3 years, need a LM.
-
I completely agree with your reasonings Gribz - it is sickening that the true fans don't get to see their teams whilst the "celebrities" get tickets - and even more galling when said "celebrities" aven't a F#$# clue about the game ! However, and without doing ANY research, there can't be that many stadiums in Europe that hold 70,000 plus are there ?
-
So you don't want to see Ibrox get a major European final ?
