  1. Cant believe Preston lost either Gribz - that is a tough one to take ! Had a look at the table today and apart from the top 2 there is only about 4 or 5 points separating 6 or 7 teams. Very exciting league !
  2. Doesn't matter if we have players in the team that aren't good enough though Gribz - Carlos won't be playing up front or LM will he - he would come in, hypothetically, to replace Stevie Smith - and, in my opinion, Smith is good enough. As for your Larsson comment I didn't say it was silly, only that it was a poor example to make. But if you can show me where I said it was silly then apologies.
  3. The only thing with not turning up in droves and having Ibrox house, say, 20,000 fans each home game is that financially that would cripple the club and put it in even more shit than it already is in. And it would have us lagging much further behind Celtic. I don't advocate not renewing season tickets but I also certainly don't know what else could be done. The RST are trying their best to bring the view of many to the club but whilst we have DM and his useless sidekick at the helm we are very much in crisis.
  4. Novo isn't guaranteed to be going though Gribz, whilst Klos is most definitely going. Re the Larsson comparison I think you are half right - you are talking about playing your best players, and that's fine. However, you aren't factoring in that Larsson was fully match fit when being considered to play for Man U whilst Klos is NOWHERE near match fit. I will give you a different example, which you might like...... Stephen Smith (having played well all season) gets sent off against Tel Aviv and Roberto Carlos comes in having not played for 2 years and obviously not match fit. Carlos plays one game, does well - does that really mean that he should play ahead of Smith just because he is/was a better player ? Fitness becomes a factor. The other thing that is a factor is whether the player can even be bothered playing. Larsson still looks very keen, not so sure about Klos (ohhhh, and I am sure you will say keep Carlos in the team ) It is all about opinions I guess - but I personally have more confidence in playing McGregor this Sunday against Celtic. But no matter who is in goal (and it is almost certain it will be McGregor) hopefully they keep a clean sheet.
  5. Good shout on Man City Gribz. Leeds maintained most of their fan base when relegated too did they not ? And I always thought Wolves fans were loyal.
  6. We can't really say no if he is already here though can we Gribz However, if someone said to me that Carlos has agreed to move to Gers I seriously wouldn't be excited about him being here. I would rather have Stephen Smith. As I said, defensively Carlos is shite. Funny how you think people are having a laugh just because they disagree with you. I wouldn't want Roberto Carlos near Ibroz at this stage of his career.
  7. I think it will be too - cracking final. Bayern though Gav, as you suggest, will be a difficult game - they looked very solid againt Madrid the other night - though Madrid were poor.
  8. Seriously I would say NO THANKS
  9. In response to what you last said Gribz....... What Gav said ! Again, we have a very good young talent in Smith - why bench him and deprive him of valuable experience in faviour of an aging player - an aging player who, by the way, cost Madrid the game the other night in the FIRST minute and who also lost his man in the WC and effectively put Brazil out too. Carlos WAS a great player - defensively he is pish though. Another player who has had his day !
  10. I agree....................................... to DISAGREE !
  11. I agree he is/was a world class keeper but he would need games to get his match fitness up - and what if we lose these games and allow Aberdeen, Hearts etc to get back in the fight for 2nd place ? Has McGregor really done THAT much wrong to warrant being dropped ? Not in my opinion.
  12. I would be pretty confident that McGregor will be #1 next season. Klos flaps as much as McGregor at high balls - and he is potentially worse than McGregor at set pieces - he comes for NOTHING. He made soem cracking saves last night but he also looks like he is carrying excess weight. He might be the best keeper at the club Gribz but he isnt match fit and that can cost games - McGregor hasn't done much wrong this season yet still gets pelters. Actually McGregor has gained us points this season with some stunning saves (just look at Hibs last weekend). Just because he is on 30k doesn't mean he should play - that was the club's fault for giving him that - it doesn't mean you should be an automatic starter. Klos had a couple of flaps last night as well, and nearly cost us a 2nd goal when mis-communicating with Ehiogu. Larsson is a bad comparison Gribz - Man U don't have much depth up front (by their standards) so it made sense for Larsson to play - he also is match fit whereas Klos is not. The reason that Man U are short up front is due to injuries so they wouldn't be pissing anyone else off that is fit bvut being looked over (as would be the case with Mcgregor if Klos plays each week). His time has come and gone at Rangers - but you and I will have to agree to disagree about that.
  13. A Liverpool-Man U final ? That would be soemthing else !
  14. Don't need him, have Smith..... Seriously though - wages would be far higher than we could afford and he is also a player on career wind-down mode. No thanks.
  15. We will get 2nd place without Klos though - so what would the point be in putting him in goal when he is leaving and also piss off McGregor ? There is no point to that. You also have a dig at McGregor every now and then Gribz because he flaps sometimes - well it has to be said that Klos was flapping on occasion last night too - and his lack of communication with Ehiogu nearly cost us a second goal. He was our MOTM because he had a couple of very good saves whilst the rest of the team (Hemdani apart) were terrible. I also think that McGregor would have made the saves that Klos did. I am a Klos fan but the time has come to accept he is leaving and realise playing him isn't in the best interests of the club.
  16. Playing him on the left IS shite, but that was a need tonight because we have no natural LM other than Adam - and he was awful tonight. I would rather have Burke on the left than Novo - but it is the lesser of two evils rather than a wise decision. Much like there were no failures against Tel Aviv at Ibrox tonight there were few who got pass marks (Klos, Hemdani, Hutton & Novo when he came on IMO).
  17. Even worse then... How sad is it that if BF is injured or suspended that I cannot think of another fit player with any invention and creation in our team ???
  18. Osasuna pretty much had their way with us. Whilst the tie isnt beyond us we will struggle badly over there, especially when easily our best player (AND most creative) is suspended, whilst Osasuna were fielding a badly weakened team some of whom will likely come back in. I think we can score over there but without BF it will be a big struggle to create anything - having said that, we may now be looking at Buffel coming in and performing the BF role, one which he may relish. Can we prevent them from scoring 2 though ????
  19. The old ones are still classics !
  20. That is quite the line-up Frankie. I only wish I was home in the next couple of weeks for that. I should maybe cancel the wife's ticket back home and swap places with her !
  21. It's just you
  22. Completely agree on all counts !! Was thinking about it the other day and in the 2nd leg if it goes to ET the away team unfairly get the advantage because them scoring is effectively scoring two goals. And given you have, as happened tonight, 2 teams that have the exact same results against each other twice over 180 minutes I think it is unfair that the away goals carry over into ET.
  23. Phew........
  24. 1-0 Milan - but then I suppose you are all watching it anyway ........ Seems the Tims have done pretty well - but lets hope that Milan put another one away to ensure safe passage to the quarters. Also is good that it went to Extra Time as that is a killer, especially with the OF game on Sunday. Come on Milan !!
  25. Looking awesome Frankie !
