  1. I presume that Rangers can't give SD access to any new deal as they would be bound by confidentiality clauses within the new deal? Chicken and egg situation.
  2. I thought it was quite clear. My first comment was "Sounds like he's been stitched up." If she didn't want him to continue sending photos she could have blocked him. If she hadn't planned to use it against him she wouldn't have filmed it. At that point I was only talking about the girl and her intentions. I've made my views on her quite clear but how I view her actions are independent of my views on Lafferty's. Other than a brief reply in post 34 I don't believe I've said what my thoughts on Lafferty's actions are.
  3. Who said it was OK? There's not one person on the thread who says it's OK.
  4. To be fair, they're sitting at the airport having a pint and it's what's on the TV. I find it more bizarre that grown mean would go on their holiday wearing a football strip.
  5. It's also extremely likely that this was the reason for the late Northern Ireland call-off.
  6. Girls do it all the time. You and I may not do it too much, but they live their lives on social media and would block people regularly...plus the story was that she didn't know he was a famous footballer. Agreed. Agreed Footballers have always played around. It's been going on for years and I doubt there's ever been a Rangers team in the 60 years where there weren't several players at "it" at any point in time. It just takes a different form now. We can all have our opinions as the morality of it and the risk involved, but it's not that out of the ordinary for British footballers.
  7. She could have blocked him at the first message but didn't. Started filming. No copies of requests to stop messaging. No copies of any of her messages. Complaining? You go to the police. A stitch up to make money? You go to the papers. It's possible that it was totally unsolicited but the evidence makes it did that it's extremely unlikely.
  8. Victim? Someone messages you that you don't want, you block them. You don't film it and take it to the papers to make cash. Victim. ?
  9. Sounds like he's been stitched up. The girl could have blocked him immediately if she wasn't interested and instead "filmed it" and presumably he didn't have her messages because it's Snapchat. How did he get her Snapchat name in the first place? Her friend had to google him? Yeah right. It's been a honey trap and he's walked into it.
  10. In the vote that this thread is about. The Board have sneaked it through in the wording without highlighting it. Very underhand. Everything about it is aimed to keep the current board in place and prevent anyone from challenging them. Kim Jong-Un would be very proud.
  11. Given the answers to your questions 1 and 3 is "nothing" and "no" and the answer to question 2 is clear to most others, I'm not sure what more evidence you need? Even the usual subjects aren't trying to defend the indefensible on this occasion.
  12. Join up and vote? I'm a life member but now don't have a vote.

    Semi Final

    Got mine too ?
  14. Given he hadn't been playing that much for us, you'd have thought he'd have welcomed the game time.
  15. What happened on Sunday that made him an ass?
  16. It seems so. The whole thing smacks of a coup, one in which the sheep will blindly vote in favour of. The RST agreed to amalgamate on the basis that life members would still be life members. They are now attempting to disenfranchise them, It seems that we were lied to.
  17. To amend the number of directors to serve on the Club 1872 boards to a maximum of five? Sounds like a power grab. No explanation as to why the number of directors should be reduced. Why not have more people with ability and to share the workload? I'm voting against.
  18. To amend directors’ terms to a period of three years? Seems reasonable.
  19. The proposal refers to "donating members". No definition given. Is this an attempt to disenfranchise the likes of Gersnet who have a life membership? "Candidates to stand as Director must be nominated by 15 donating members." - that seems excessive. Seems like an attempt to make it into an old pals club. Candidates should be based on ability and not just those who know loads of "donating members". How would anyone know who donating members are? I'm a life member and have no idea. I'm voting against based on these points.
  20. 1. All Donating Members shall be entitled to vote in the election of the Directors of the Club 1872 Companies. 2. All Donating Members who have been Donating Members for a continuous period of 6 months before the date on which elections to the Board of Directors of the Club 1872 Directors are announced shall be eligible to stand as Directors. 3. Candidates to stand as Director must be nominated by 15 donating members. Nominating members must satisfy the eligibility criteria referred to at paragraph 2 of this Schedule. 4. Candidates will be vetted by an independent third party adjudicator before they are permitted to stand. 5. The election period will be a minimum of 14 days and candidates will be given the opportunity to present to members during the election process. Candidates must also agree to answer questions put forward by donating members during the election process. 6. Voting will open with an email to members providing details of how to vote and will stay open till midnight on the 6th day following the date on which voting is opened. 7. Candidates will be required to sign a certificate acknowledging their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of Directors before standing and will be asked to sign an undertaking that they will campaign for election in a positive and inclusive manner that reflects the desire to grow and expand the membership of the Club 1872 Companies. 8. All candidates for election must disclose all social media accounts operated by them. In the event that during the election period any racist, sectarian, obscene or abusive posts are found to have been published on these or any other accounts by a candidate, at any time, that candidate may, at the discretion of the independent adjudicator, be removed from the elections. 9. All candidates for election must disclose all connections they have with Rangers Football Club whether as an officer, employee, supplier or commercial partner.
  21. Yeah, my mum goes to The Lok quite a bit. I was in it for the first time after the Ufa game. Seems quite nice.
  22. Pollok, like yourself, Compo. I used to go a lot when at school (pre-Souness). Have only been to a few games over the past 20 odd years.
  23. I saw people suggesting that he has stayed on the ground longer when fouled during the last couple of games, and this may be under instructions so that he calms down before standing back up again and doesn't react in the same way, If so, it's a good technique to allow him to control his natural instincts and it certainly seems to be working.
  24. We'd be a far, far poorer team if Flanagan was our right back instead of Tav. Tav's pace, athleticism and attacking instincts brings so much to the team in numerous ways. His market value may be, say, £10m but he's worth more to us than that. I'd go as far as saying that if we sell him in Jan then our challenge for the league disappears.
