  1. The Scottish game is officially corrupt.
  2. In which case, he should have stuck to his story. He's just come out of this week dreadfully.
  3. My issue is his hypocrisy, ignoring the Boyd situation initially. He claims he wasn't aware of the songs against Celtic, or the coin throwing but that stretches his credibility, Even in the slight chance that what he said was true he would have known about it before he refused to comment on the Celtic fans at his next press conference. He can't have it both ways. He was also caught lying about the Rangers job.
  4. Ouch. That'll be bad if Hazard leaves. Presumably they won't be able to keep Higuain at the end of the season?
  5. He didn't seem to care when his captain was subject to similar chants and was also physically assaulted, so for him to now claim he's affected is hypocritical and pathetic.
  6. looks like some of them are encouraging the police to hit them.
  7. Interesting to note that they did it today and not on Monday following the Celtic game. As least we know we'll get a fair shout from SNP minister Humza " I drink in republican slophouses" Yousaf, SNP Minister Joseph Martin Fitzpatrick and Assistant Chief Constable Bernard "suspended for more than 3 months" Higgins.
  8. Thursday 21 February 2019 Ian Maxwell, Chief Executive at the Scottish FA: "The Scottish FA condemns in the strongest possible terms the spate of incidents this season involving unacceptable conduct in Scottish football. This season we have witnessed match officials and players hit by coins, sectarian singing at matches and abusive and threatening behaviour towards match officials, players, managers and coaching staff. This behaviour is completely unacceptable and simply has no place in football, or indeed Scottish society. "Football has a responsibility to take action. We must do all that we can under our current rules and engage with clubs to seek to eradicate such behaviour. "This issue, however, is not one that football can solve on its own. To that end, SPFL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster and I recently met with Cabinet Secretary for Justice Humza Yousaf, Minister for Public Health, Sport and Wellbeing Joe Fitzpatrick and Police Scotland Assistant Chief Constable Bernie Higgins to discuss unacceptable conduct in football and how we can work together to address this. "We will seek further discussions in light of the most recent events to maintain the momentum for change."
  9. I think that it would have been a penalty if he'd tried moving but just throwing yourself to the ground isn't a penalty. I did think that the Candeias tackle could have seen red though.
  10. I think it was Boyd himself that called it banter. Clarke said nothing about it, which given his outburst last night shows either: He's a bigot as he sees nothing wrong with anti-Protestant sectarianism, or He doesn't care about his players, or Both
  11. 2 good crosses from Candeais for the goals.
  12. This is purely an attempt to muddy the waters so that it will make changes to the appeals system, which currently works in Celtic's favour, that much harder.
  13. Robertson seems to have gone off the boil in recent weeks.
  14. If they aren't willing then get rid of them from hosting hospitality.
  15. Exactly. We should have 5 ex-players lined up to make comments in the press about it over the next 5 days.
  16. Man Utd fans were brilliant against Chelsea. Never shut up for a minute.
  17. What happens for the next generation when 2 people both with double barrelled have kids?
  18. King lost the battle in that he ended up having to make the offer, but yes, dB, that should be the end of it.
  19. Was worried during the penalties but they held their nerve. Well done, boys!
  20. I think it was around 47p, but I stand to be corrected.
  21. St Mirren themselves say that they were throwing things and spitting at him. "While the unconscious supporter was being removed there were numerous people standing above the vomitory who decided to spit and throw coins at him."
  22. Totally disagree. The language used when describing Morelos is xenophobic at best, particularly when looking at a young 22 year old who doesn't speak any English. Barton never got treated anywhere as bad as Morelos, and Barton is a guy who was sentenced to six months' imprisonment for assault, who had stubbed a cigar on a team mate's eye and had a 4 month suspended sentence for assault. It's night and day.
  23. Do the BBC treat Morelos differently from Scott Brown because: A. They're racist B. They are Celtic fans and incapable of impartiality C. Both
  24. I didn't think we had a chance of winning the league that season either.
