  1. If he resigned because he wasn't being allowed to pick his own team and he didn't even have a transfer window then it's difficult to get a feel for his ability.
  2. So Kamara?
  3. I don't know what a half back is.
  4. I love The Time Capsule, Top of the Flops and the Quiz and the Daily Update gets listened to every day on the way home. I tend not to listen to the Flagship these days as it's partly covered in other shows. Oh, and the Murray and Me shows are essential listening to get an insight into how Murray really thought.
  5. I'm shocked at the outcome on both players, actually not so much on Broadfoot as he did it to Morelos so will be given a walk on that.
  6. There's been plenty of xenophobic reporting of Morelos in the press when they emphasise his nationality. As for the colour of his skin, do I believe he would be singled out in the same manner if he was white and Scottish? Absolutely not. Look at the difference in treatment between Morelos and Scott Brown. There's certainly circumstantial evidence to suggest racism.
  7. I'd jump at the chance, but we'd need to start much further down than the second level of English football. I remember it was looked at back in 2012 and it was felt that we may have to start at the 12th level (or similar, I now can't remember exactly ). The chance to do it would have been in the 90s when Sky could have put on pressure, but we've missed that boat, particularly with lots of different broadcasters bidding so none have that much power. We're staying put.
  8. I thought so, but it was only one of many decisions that I disagreed with in this match and the past few. It's got that I don't expect anything from the refs these days. It's been bad but has got worse since we beat Celtic.
  9. I was happy that Katic started but hadn't realised his lack of pace, which isn't great when we're playing against a counter-attacking team.
  10. Expect the same thing to happen in the Alex Salmond case.
  11. Bump. Reminder of the demo.
  12. We didn't.
  13. So because the team played badly, it's OK for the UBs to disrupt them and as long as they only ask some fans not to sing and not all fans that makes it OK? Sigh.
  14. Those 40,000 fans aren't in a self proclaimed singing section, didn't urge other fans not to sing and didn't organise a disruption at the start of the second half, which was off-putting to the players. They're obviously entitled not to sing but to urge others also not to do so and to disrupt the team then they deserve a heap of criticism.
  15. Are they his signings though? Is it him who is making these decisions?
  16. Massive own goal by the UBs tonight. Put themselves before the team by refusing to sing in the first half and then disrupting the start of the second half when the team came out, pumped up and ready to start the game, they ended up having to clear away that mess created. Poor show and one that will do them no favours.
  17. I wasn't commenting on Scottish football, but on the legal system. You may think a month is neither here or there but when the whole furore has died down it will make it easier to slip through a slap on the wrist and 20 hours community service, as after all, it was only a Rangers player....
  18. What does it say about the Scottish legal system when the Birmingham guy gets sentenced the following day and the Hibs guy has to wait until next month for sentencing?
  19. The Daily Record have a point.
  20. A vast majority will object to not being able to sing The Sash, Derry's Walls etc.
  21. Sure, but those who are going to get off their backsides and be leaders in generating the atmosphere (UB07, and previously TBO and CDL) aren't going to accept such restrictions. If it's something that's to be introduced then it needs to be something looked at in the long term. It's difficult enough to get those who sing to not use the F or P words never mind getting them to stop singing Derry's Walls (not that I'm suggesting that we should). If we're going to be serious about this then there needs to be a realistic view taken.
  22. Introducing caveats like "non-political" is going to reduce the atmosphere, not improve it. We get ex-players coming on at half time, and I find it boring. Inane platitudes aren't that interesting. perhaps pre-recorded interviews shown on the screen could be interesting, but the downsides are that no everyone can see the screens and the sound quality is usually bad. I'd agree on Simply the Best. If I was a fan of it then it was during NIAR. We've moved on and it's aged badly. Safe standing would certainly improve the atmosphere, but we should keep the pros and cons on that to the other thread. I see Man Utd have allocated 1,200 seats to an "atmosphere section". I guess the club could do that for BF1 and BF2, but it happens already. Perhaps more needs to be done in the Broomloan. Move the family section to, say, the Club Deck if possible and encourage those who want to sing to go to the Broomloan. The Copland has a lot of long terms occupants and using it would just create a lot of bad feeling, and potentially lose fans. Other things to improve the match day experience would be to get decent wifi and improve the food. The quality in the vans outside is so much better and far cheaper.
  23. A bit of deserved sarcasm.
  24. Will they be able to sell 850 tickets?
