What should we need from our new owners before they get our support?
Bluedell replied to Bluedell's topic in Rangers Chat
He has? I haven't noticed him saying anything negative about him, but then again I think you tend to read the newspapers a lot more than me and I've possibly missed it. In what way has he changed his mind? -

First annual return, probably. When that is due depends on when the newco was set up. -

I wonder if the RST are backing it because they have seen detailed plans, or just because it's "Rangers people" and their old mates McColl and Park are involved? A further statement from them would be helpful. Just asking for a boycott of season tickets without a detailed explanation isn't. -

I might have missed that. There's very few that seem to be supprting Green. A vast majority seem to want him to sell up. As it happens Green made the same point as you and insisted that nobody would have more than 15% of the shares going forward. It'll be interesting to see if that actually turns out to be true, if he "owns" it long enough for us to find out. -

Walter trusts SDM as well. Ally gave his full support to Whyte. -

Of course, but then Green doesn't have the unquestioning support of many of our fans....primarily because he has failed to do it. McColl and Park do seem to have the support, but have done pratically nothing to do it. It seems the fans are willing to be led like sheep without knowing anything about future plans. -
A vision? Some plans on finance? Some plans of any sort? Are we satisfied with: - Spin and lies about other parties - Failed bids when it most mattered - Getting a legend as a figurehead - An announcement that they are Rangers men (how many games have you been to in the last 5 years, Jim McColl?) - err, that it is. Sorry, but I want much more before blindly deciding that you are the best thing since sliced bread. I need more than the fact that you are not Green. There's been too much spin and misleading of the support by Murray, Whyte and ALL the parties trying to buy us. NOW is the time to highlight your plans, McColl and Park.

WHat is a debt free Rangers worth? This is why McColl and Park should have done this weeks ago instead of fannying around. Now we are in the position that we have civil war instead of moving forward.

So is one of the Gersnet admin.

Yes. Some of our league titles were won before the old company was formed. The league titles are not tied to the company. They are tied to the club which is continuing.
-
They took an off the shelf company and renamed it to maintan the old "Celtic Football and athletic company" name. There is another company that they changed the club into but this isn't the thread to get into that. More info here: http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?39968-So-which-Celtic-company-do-we-play-against

Coz that's a red herring. The Pacific Shelf company has never been the football club
-
Here is the original certificate of incorporation from 1899. Note the name The Rangers Football Club Limited
-
Surely the club name remains unchanged? It's only the company name that has changed.

Am I alone in having some sympathy with this view?

We made a loss of £20m before player sales and tax in 2009 and the debt increased from £21m to £31m. It's not unreasonable to think that the operating loss could have been close to £12m last season.
-
Murray never "bankrolled" us. He stuck in £10m at the same time as King invested and them there was the £50m rights issue when he was forced to bring the debt down but that is it.
-
They have to say that to keep their support off their backs. Whether they are so willing to give up their 11-1 voting advantage and lose financially remains questionable.
-
Yea, I think that would apply to whoever owned us. A large chunk of the fans would prefer a division 3 option rather than playing handicapped in the SPL but the finance guys wouldn't want it. The only thing that may get them to change their minds is if a lot of season ticket holders say they are not going to renew if the handicapped SPL is what we are looking at. I'll renew if we are in div 3. I'll have to think about it if we are SPL with a large penalty and a lack of "sporting integrity".

I've yet to see anything that suggests SDM has done anything he can get prosecuted for. It's not illegal to sell a company to a lying dickhead and I doubt that you can get charged for setting up a tax avoidance scheme slightly incorrectly. There may be more to come out as far as SDM is concerned but I haven't seen anything at the moment that HMRC could go after him for.

The exit strategy: Other bidders consider offers
Bluedell replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
A colleague of mine is listed as a fugitive by Interpol over a simple business dispute, which involved a company that he is a director of and was nothing to do with him personally. I personally don't hold Interpol in a high regard. -
Green said that he had an agreement to buy all of Whyte's shares. Was he lying? Don't have a clue. I've not heard anything credible to suggest that he would still be involved in any shape or form. If it was an issue, why aren't HMRC saying that in their tweets? I guess they are in on the big conspiracy.

I'm led to believe that it doesn't, and that's just an excuse put out by TBKs to have a go at Green and D&P.

Jail time for Whyte, hopefully.
