Don't think that's ever been proven. However if it is true, then perhaps Keane had a separate contract with one of Desmond's companies to do PR work that was unrelated to his Celtic contract? I doubt it's something that could be proven very easily that there were dual contracts in place.

Based on what?

Or perhaps the story is a pile of poo?

Agree with all that. It's possibly the most worrying sign. Much of the other stuff is just coming from the hysteria that's built up in certain sections of the support where people have convinced themselves that Green must be bad an are looking for ways to justify it, but this is straightforward nuts and bolts. There should be no problem getting bank facilities. I'm sure that could be arranged today if required. However overdraft/loan facilities are a totally different thing.
-
Still time to get banking arrangements put in place before the DDs start. If it's true then it suggests a certain amount of amateurism. However there's so much crap floating around that I'm not putting much faith in the story.

It's not and he should get done for illegal trading. It would happen in a lot of cases and HMRC may well push for it. It's something that (most) directors are very wary of.

Whyte kept it going for 9 months and hasn't been charged.

How can Ticketus get their hands on season ticket money?

So the McColl/Park consortium have walked away, using the flimiest of excuses, leaving a club more divided and more uncertain than it was before they appeared, and have still not given any hints as to what their plans for the club would have been. This whole episode is disappointing in every way.
-
It's still the same Rangers, Walter. FFS.

If he's "not unhappy" then he must be happy...?

Apart from Dave King?

The timescale is too short. Normally these sorts of demos require 28 days, I believe. The march to Hampden was allowed because Sandy Jardine (on behalf of the club) put his name to it. If the club were not behind it then I'd be surprised if the police and council allowed it to go ahead.

The SPL could be violating national law , taken from FF
Bluedell replied to rbr's topic in Rangers Chat
If they feel that nothing has changed then they can take acton against us, but we must also be allowed to play in the SPL without penalties. If it has changed then they can't take action aghainst us but can look to not allow us back in SPL. They can't have their cake and eat it. -
You initially said he didn't have the cash to complete the purchase. You got that wrong. How much else are you getting wrong about him? You're now changing your tune and saying that he doesn't have the cash to take us forward but Park and McColl do, based on no factual information and ignoring the fact that McColl and Park were unable to put together more than £5m to buy the club a wee while ago. There's nothing (yet) to suggest that they are willing to put in any cash into the club to take it forward.

Thaks for the invite, mate, but those who are organising it seem to have entrenched views and I've seen the abuse that the likes of Jim Hannah have taken and don't see the point. Perhaps if McColl and Park would deign to give an insight into their plans then I may change my mind. As for your "wait and see" argument, that is what you are doing in respect of McColl and Park. My unease about the march on Saturday has nothing to do with the fact that it's RST organised/backed.
-
FFS. Green didn't liquidate us. His bid was more than the other bids. Why would any of the others get chosen? It seems that the anti-Green spin is there due to the lack of a better argument, which is a real shame.
-
Oh dear. The accusations have started because he dares to have an opinion different from that of the RST.
-
I'm not having a go at you specifically, Koeman, but I'm shouting out for more information so that I can make an informed decision. You and plenty of others may have the utmost confidence in Walter's business acumen and his ability to analyse business plans and know the weaknesses in Green's strategies, but I'd like a bit more information before I make up my mind. The fact that Walter's team are not releasing any plans but going for the same soundbites that we experienced from another "Rangers man" 15 months ago is a little suspicious. Just come out and be honest with your plans, McColl and Park and if I like the sounds of them I'll give you my full support.
-
It's not an anti-Green rally but we all want Green to sell. FFS. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck..... People should have the balls to call it what it really is.
-
It seems the fans don't require that from certain parties.
-
Actually the club will struggle. I'm sure he'll be fine.
-
If they are starting with derisory bids while calling on people not to renew their tickets then they obviously don't see time as an issue. It's all a bit concerning.
-
No rush then..........

What should we need from our new owners before they get our support?
Bluedell replied to Bluedell's topic in Rangers Chat
No, I don't think it can. It's not like accounts. The time can be shortened but it can't be lengthened.
