Playing devils advocate, fans were complaining about an apparent increase in season ticket prices of 5%. I agree with the the theory behind it, but will it work in practice? If they don't see any tangibe return for it, will they get bored after year 2 and stop contributing? We have seen people demanding their contributions back from RFFF and that's in our time of crisis. What will happen if they disagree with the sale of a player, or the fact that we are giving tickets to Celtic fans or similar?
-
If the fans bought Rangers tomorrow, where would the working capital come from?
-
You are a consortium and want to buy Rangers. Do you really send in John Brown to discuss it and find out the price? Do you really turn round and get someone who was backing another consortium a week ago to front it? The whole thing stinks.
-
The RFFF are there to look after the funds and that is it. JC's reasons for resigning seem totally unrelated to that and I don't see why the fact that Green won't meet with fans means that he has to resign?
-
So if he believes that Sevco don't own Ibrox, MP and the Albion why is he trying to buy the club from them? I wonder if John Brown will change his mind again and be back to wanting the club owned by a Celtic supporting crook next week? If there is a consortium ready to buy out Green please get rid of John Brown as quickly as possible as he will only hinder your bid.

Rapid Vienna report Rangers to Fifa over Nikica Jelavic debt

Everyone quoting for the club would know the situation and would have allowed for it as appropriate. -
Rapid Vienna report Rangers to Fifa over Nikica Jelavic debt

Why? What difference would that have made? Also I thought everyone would know that they would be looking for their money. It's hardly a TBK exclusive. Or are you now just trolling? -
Crown office launch investigation into sale of Rangers to Whyte
Bluedell replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Yes, and I also think that they have been doing similar in respect of the BTC. Their actions and statements have definitely been prejudicial. -
He has a point. The Arab Trust used sectarian language to describe us and yet it seems to be OK. There's double standards being applied within Scotland.

Welcome to the site. I'd make a few comments: 1. Bile - Sorry but it's a man's game. Do you really want it sanitised to the extent that there is no swearing from the crowd? Yes, there has been a few things that are unacceptable, but most clubs have that. We have made strides to improve. The fact that we have is largely ignored and yet the "hate" still exists. 2. "rode roughshod over football" - not sure what you mean here. 3. "this mentality that they are so much better than everyone else" - it may have escaped your notice but we generally have been better than everyone else. However I accept that the arrogance that we have at times can lead to other clubs wanting us to suffer. I find myself generally doing the same when I watch the EPL. It's generally good to see the big clubs lose...although I can't say that I "hate" any of them. I'm not sure what the fans themselves have to apologetic or contrite about. We are as much victims as anyone else. I was on the creditors list and expect to receive nothing. My shares are worthless. My club has been decimated by the actions of one man, against whom a criminal investigation is about to start, and you want me to apologise and be contrite? However major credit to you for your honesty as to the reasons why you think we should be kicked out. At least it's none of the pish that most others are coming up with. A couple of comments about that. It's called rivalry. It's healthy in general. However I genuinely believe that we are nowhere near as bad as the Celtic fans who are totally obsessed by us. That can be proven by the fact that organisations (police, media) receive 10 times more complaints from Celtic fans about something to do with Rangers than the other way around.

So they claim that they are going to leave due to someone thy will have virtually no contact with going forward. It's a feeble excuse and I don't believe it for a minute.

Why is it the fault of D&P? It was HMRC who denied us the CVA.

Message to Whittaker and Naismith

The reason we went into administration was that we had no credit facility and Whyte did not put in the cash he promised. We didn't have the cash. We didn't pay HMRC but it could have easily been someone else. The HMRC statement may be a bit of a red herring. They may not be referrring to The BTC and it may just be the 2011/12 tax ie Whyte. I therefore think that the conclusions reached after that are jumping a little. We don't know what the results of the BTC will bring. It may be just a technical error as suggested and here was no major wrong-doing. It may be that the amounts were clearly contractual and the directors generally and SDM specifically knew that they were not fully complying with the regulations. However as things stand, we have not been found guilty of any wrong-doing. If there are side letters, and there is absolutely no proof that there are, and they were related to the performance of duties then it would be linked to the contract of employment. If the payments bore no relationship to the performance of duties (they would get paid even after leaving Rangers) then that would be OK but that scenario is unlikely. Some of the conclusions here would be rejected by HMRC. However as there is no proof of side letters have done nothing wrong in this regard. Because we are a newco. Nothing more, nothing less.

Is this the real reason for these talks? Allows them to put Rangers even further down than the 3rd division.

RFFF Statement on today's meeting with Charles Green.
Bluedell replied to 26th of foot's topic in Rangers Chat
So you've got no idea but you'll just make up something to put Green in a bad light? -
What makes people think he's still with the group? There's been nothing in the press about that either. I've heard that he's not involved with them any moe. If people have got evidence to the contrary then great. THere's so much spin on ball sideswho knows what's actually happening.
-
I thought Smith had walked away from that group? Also I don't recall any plans as to how much cash they were going to put in. If they couldn't muster over £8m to buy us they've hardly got access to funds to finance us.
-
This is all pointless. The SPL clubs won't vote for it given their views on sporting integrity.
-
But nobody has put forward an alternative strategy to Green's. We have to live within our means no matter who owns us.
-
I believe that the SPL share is non-transferable unless permission is given by the other SPL clubs, therefore the newco does not currently own it. The rules probably say that ownership of the share reverts back to the SPL on relegation or liquidation.
-
I couldn't say definitively that there may not be issues along the way, probably relating to timing, but the creditors can't get their hands on it.
-
Again this was dismissed. There should not be an issue as the directors are not the same as before. Drip, drip, drip....
-
It's just another part of the drip, driip, drip campaign to turn fans against Green.
