  1. If both clubs got into the EPL, they would definitely thrive. The access to additional finance would change overnight and therefore so would the quality of players. Games would be sell-outs every week. There's no reason why they couldn't be mid-table in year 1 and no reason why they couldn't improve on that in the future. If we had to start lower down, I wouldn't have a problem with that. It'd be more interesting than playing the usual suspects every year, and we should move up the leagues fairly quickly.
  2. Gazza's right. He's the only one with any inspiration or creativity. I don't know how you can say that he isn't that hard to replace as we've been crying out for a winger for years and have failed to sign anyone adequate. He's been our best player in virtually every game he's played for us. Asfor the OF game, he started off brightly and fell away a bit but can you base your opinion on a player on one game? What player hasn't failed to deliver for us in big games on occasions? Aluko has played better in his first couple of months with us than Naismith did in his first couple of months.
  3. At least the park will be in a better condition.
  4. I'm happy enough with Aluko. If we did have £2m available for transfers, I'd prefer that it was spent in othe areas.
  5. I prefer the term "financial guru".
  6. Walker isn't bad most of the time. He's certainly no lover of Lennon. However there can be the odd occasion where he shows his colours by taking an unbalanced viewpoint, but it tends to be only on the really big issues.
  7. To be fair, i thought Jelavic scored as well, as did everyone around me.
  8. I thought it was made by Saltire Films and not the BBC? I didn't say that you said that it proved or disproved anything.
  9. It was going on before that. The VB's first protest was back in 2009 and it had been going on for quite a few years before that. They had a large dossier of incidents at that point. However like others I don't think that it was going on much prior to 2003.
  10. One of the big sources of income for the club over the last 20 years has been through share issues. If Whyte is planning to do something similar in the future it may be beneficial to retain the listing as shares are more attractive if they are easily tradable, and that is why Murray kept our listing. That, to me, is the biggest benefit. PS I don't work in the financial industry
  11. Changes of directors should still be available to the public whether the company is listed or unlisted, public or private. If the club remains public after the delisting then it "must" have an AGM within 6 months of the year end. A private company must hold an AGM if 5% of shareholders request one.
  12. The shareholders of the club get disclosed annually and any movements would be identified then.
  13. Blue Heaven was made independently of the BBC. The fact that they showed a documentary in 2003 doesn't prove or disprove anything. One needs to look at all the evidence before making a decision.
  14. It's a minor stock exchange. A third division stock exchange, if you like, that doesn't have the same rules and regulations as the major one. It makes it easier for shares in companies our size to be traded who don't want the hassle of being fully listed.
  15. It does? In what respect? Other than there may not be half yearly P&Ls and the financial information will be out a bit latern if we were to cease being a PLC, what are the differences?
  16. It's not something I keep a close eye on, but it seemed to me that there's been a lot less movement since Whyte took over/the share price fell. (...and the RST aren't giving new members shares any more, either, I believe)
  17. What happens when you speed read something while doing 3 other things.
  18. Can vary from none to a few thousand shares, perhaps on average a deal a day from memory? It won't have much impact on most of us, only if you want to buy or sell shares.
  19. This is despite Craig Whyte previously saying that it's his intention to "maintain the Clubâ??s listing on PLUS Markets for at least a year from the date of the Acquisition."
  20. Not a huge amount. Just means that buying and selling of shares can't be done at the moment, and once we are taken off Plus it wll make it that bit harder in the future.
  21. It's unlikely to find an owner who isn't going to take that attitude.
  22. No mate. It really has to be through one of the fans's organisations and I'm not looking to get involved with the Assembly or the Trust at this point. Andy Kerr seems to be the one with the best access and he's a smart guy and perhaps he's asking some of the questions but not being allowed to publish the answers or the fact that the questions are not being answered.
  23. There's a difference between not giving a f*** and not being able to meet a £40m+ tax bill.
  24. It's not just on Evra's word. Suarez admitted saying "negro" and the Liverpool PR guy confirmed it as well. It was the number of times that it was used that is up for question.
  25. I don't believe Icarus can handle mobi files. It is possible to convert mobi to pdf. There seem to be plenty of free applications to do it if you do a simple google search, although I've never done it myself.
