I believe Sion are claiming that they have abided by the rules but UEFA are changing them. My understanding of the situation is that it is a similar situation to the Lennon ban running concurrently from last season. Something was communicated to Sion and they have taken it to mean one thing when UEFA's intention was different.

Yeah that's why they sing "When being just a boy like you, I joined the I.R.A.(Provisional wing)"

Rangers v Liverpool ticket information
Bluedell replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
Costs me nothing (once the season ticket has been paid) so I'm well down this season. -
Bishop warns Catholics may lose faith in SNP

Interpretation - He is concerned that his flock will be charged for calling people "hun" and for singing IRA songs when every rational person knows that it's only RCs that suffer sectarianism. -
Not with the police. Not sure about the club. I'm looking into it.

Turns out one of them is my wee cousin.

I dioubt that they'd do that. Sets a prededent that would be unacceptable to them. It's not their cash, it's the public's so they would not settle for a lower amount.

It's been good to see Weir in the directors box (with Naisy and McCulloch) for the past 2 games.
-
Yeah, that's also a possibility, although an unlikely one on the face of it, if the directors do not welcome administration.
-
It would be an option but given the fact that CL football looks unlikely over the next few years, I doubt that the directors would be able to guarantee a payment of, say, £10m pa over a 5 year period and they would therefore be obliged to take the company into administration. I understand that HMRC are taking a harder line to payment plans these days.
-
It's easy to do that. Will the reply from David Martin will be as quick?
-
If the case does ultimately go against us then, yes, administration is the most likely outcome. It will be interesting to see who and what are protected if this does come about.

Part of the problem with standing is the licence from the council. I remember the Celtic getting "tough" with the Green Bigots due to this issue. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/editor-s-picks/celtic-s-warning-to-green-brigade-1.1098695

Who will be our biggest threat for the title?

I doubt that would happen this season. -

I thought Whyte had already said that he wants the wage bill down by £7m pa and therefore selling players was almost a cert? Given that we are out of Europe and facing a loss this year, I doubt much of any proceeds will be put towards new players. We were unable to find a suitable forward to sign in the summer so I'm sceptical that we will find one during the winter break. Let's hope that I'm totally wrong though and nobody goes. -
There was a huge fuss about players being owned by third parties (eg Tevez - West Ham almost got relegated because of it) and it's not allowed under FIFA rules (Article 18 of FIFA's Rules on the Status and Transfer of Players). My understanding is that for a player to be registered with the SFA/SPL their contract requires to be with the club itself. Also I doubt that Whyte would be able to transfer ownership of players to Wavetower without cash being involved.
-
That part is bullshit. The stadium and Murray Park are owned by Rangers and the players must be contracted to the club as well or else they would not be allowed to play with the club. After the hearing there are 2 options. We win the case and we will therefore not go into administration or we lose the case and appeal and will therefore not go into administration.
-
The buck stops at the top. Craig Whyte should be the guy who should be ensuring that this intimidation of his own support ceases immediately.
-
He has shown an increased confidence to take on the right back which is good to see. I wouldn't go overboard on his performances yet but he definitely deserves to be first choice at the moment. Hopefully he can build on it and improve further with an extended run in the team.

Rangers 1 - 0 Hibernian: Player Ratings and MoM Poll
Bluedell replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I will go for for 2 great saves that kept us in it at 0-0. I thought that some of the stuff that Davis tried didn't work and he wasn't just as good as he had been in previous games. Wylde has shown an improvement but didn't think it was MOTM material, particularly given his early misses. I thought Edu was best of the outfield players. -
I think that singing it will have an effect on Salmond who is only interested in the populist vote. It's a small time government and protests may have an effect.
