  1. Robson never played for us. Brown played 4 or 5 times. Miller and Conn are certainly better examples, but the difference between them and Boyd is that neither went straight from Rangers to celtic and certainly in Miller's case, he isn't a life-long bear.

I may do the same, and I haven't owned a Rangers top since before Souness arrived.

I wonder if the fact that they have seen fit to show both keepers is telling?

And where did our name come from?

2 minor complaints: I don't like the way that the red T is above the Rangers badge on the shorts. Have it the other way around if necessary, or have the T on the other leg. The black behind the white Tennants would have looked far better if it was just blue.
  6. Surely a new owner should be given the choice of who he wants at the end of next season without it already being announced?

  8. Straight out the same school of journalism as
  9. He was staying until that moment.
  10. All the best, wee man. A real Rangers man who never gave less than 100%. There's no finer accolade. Florence Helicopter Sunday Scottish Cup final You will never be forgotten........
  11. Nobody said it was a secret, but why encourage people onto their websites if it's such "utter bollox"? You're just encouraging them to come out with more pish.
  12. I don't know why you publicise it then and try and increase hits on their website.
  13. It could be argued that any statement has the potential to affect the market. However, as you say, people will ignore it when it suits them.
  14. It's still open for a wee while yet.
  15. Done. Need to think a bit more about the football one, particularly goal of the season.
  16. If they progress they get more money, which will allow them to buy better players, which lessens our chances of winning the league. Nothing childish about my wish for them to get totally stuffed.
  17. Agreed. It's a joke. I still fail to see why the directors of the club are only meeting with the bnak now. Why was it not tied down months ago? Are they unable to budget based on some simple outcomes based on CL or no CL, and the level of season ticket uptake? Many companies work on a much more complicated budgeting model and I can't understand why the club were not insisting on getting the bank's agreement on everything months ago, therefore ensuring that everyonne knew where they stood. It's also frustrating that the directors did not reveal that the business plan in place only covered the period of 6 months. AJ's statement that "we reached an agreement with the bank that extends through the end of 2010" is misleading at best. His statement that "the bank has agreed that the Club's only obligation is to operate within a credit facility that reduces by £1 million per year" appears inaccurate given that they are now saying that nothing can be done over the summer without meeting the bank and getting their approval. The more things change......
  18. Or perhaps he has not been able to form an opinion because he has never met or spoken to Ellis? These situations are not just as black or white as you suggest.
  19. Perhaps, but it's easy for faceless people on messageboards to question the truth of it, but quite another for the Chairman of Rangers to do it without, as I've said before, any proof. He has to take it at face value at this stage. It doesn't stop others from raising their concerns over it though.
  20. Agreed, although the fact that there were quotes used gave it a bit more credibility that Spiers usually warrants. Agreed. The alleged WS meeting seems particularly strange. Not so strange. N_L isn't a threat and isn't in a position to contradict or question anything Ellis says. It's easy for Ellis to put out the message that he's still interested. If AJ has been told that proof of funding has been received and been told that it was OK to release that infomation then I doon't think that he is in the position to publicly question the veracity of what he has been told without a shred of proof.
  21. There isn't any need for Ellis to have spoken to anyone at the club as the dealings would all be at MIH level adn AJ would not necessarily be kept in the loop. However if Ellis was serious then I doubt he would be turning down the opportunity to have a face-to-face with the current chairman.
  22. The latest on Ellis from Johnston. AJ is sharing the frustration felt by the support amd seems like it's a definite no-goer. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/scotland/article7129280.ece
  23. Yes and no. It is the same company that they were linked with, but there has been a lot of misconceptions about their involvement due to the misleading interviews that took place when it was all set up. 1. They were never directors 2. They never invested any cash into it 3. They were never eligible for any of the profits of the company. 4. They did give the company interest free loans. I believe that these loans have now been repaid.
  24. It's what is called technically insolvent. Its liabilities are more than its assets. It is kept going by the fact that its main creditor (the club) will not be asking for the debt to be paid. As it's wholly owned, it doesn't really matter, but any cash going into RYD can't be ring-fenced as it could end up just getting repaid to the club. It's not a big deal but the bottom line is that RYD can't be looked at as a separate company. It is wholly reliant on its parent to keep it going.
