  1. Not much. I think it's just formal confirmation of yesterday's announcement, which in itself doesn't say anything anyway.
  2. Whether is came from him or his company didn't make that much of a difference. It came from him as far as I'm concerned.
  3. Yeah, the "sumbody down the pub" story is getting a bit tiresome.
  4. My information is that the bank have been in the club and involved in decision making since before the end of last season (which i told several people on the site privately). I'm not sure that he has exaggerated the position.
  5. The number of people who claim to have inside information on this is incredible, and most of the rumours are slightly different from each other.
  6. They didn't really have any choice. It wasn't made with a view to making money but rather to reduce the club's debt.
  7. No. MIH indirectly bought shares in the club. Nobody can turn round and ask for their money back.
  8. When did that happen? I don't remember that.
  9. As Craig say, I don't think Walter has back-tracked. He has been contradicted by those higher up the tree, but that is all.
  10. My views are as follows: Car park - If Murray was seling the club without bank pressxure then the deal would include the carpark, as he has said on a few occasions that the carpark would be returned to the club. Given the bank's apparent involvement then all bets are off. However it's no use to anyone else so they might include it for extra cash. Edmiston House - RHL seem well esconsed in there so I don't see it being sold. Auchenhowie - it's owned by the club so no reason for it not to be sold as part of the deal. If the new buyer needs it to be stripped out for financial reasons then we have problems. I always thought that Murray would want to keep it for the land but doubt he's in a position to do anything about it, so we will keep it. Land around Ibrox - the redevelopment of Ibrox had a lot of potential pre-economic crisis, but I haven't a clue if it's still a goer. all things being equal Murray would like to keep it, but he may not be ina position to dictate. depends on the ambitions of the new buyer. Mechandising - I've not heard anything to suggest that we don't own the rights. Catering - our agreement is with Azure which Murray has no involvement with any more. I'd imagine that the new owners would be happy enough to continue sub-contracting the catering.
  11. What the bank says is also at odds with what Walter said. Who do you believe in that one?
  12. RM was a bit crazy today. Some nutter kept on going on about the banking system.... :fish:
  13. Missed that bit.
  14. Heard David Edgar on with Ewen and Roughie tonght. Only heard a bit of it, so didn't hear his main comments, but he made me laugh on several occasions, particularly when he stuck it to the guy from Terrorist Minded.
  15. We have one of the mods from RM. Wonder if he'll spill the beans? C'mon Frankie...the floor is yours or a PM at least.
  16. I'd agree with that...and what Boss said on RM.
  17. Covenanter has seen him at Parkhead giving it "DOBs" during an OF game. He's a professional politician first and foremost, and will no doubt be at a CoS remembrance service in a couple of weeks time. He knows how to play the games, hence his membership of a Jewish Friends of Labour (or similar) organisation. He can't be trusted IMHO,
  18. Yes, it would be around 5% of the shareholding. It could help the club's current situation by lessening the debt, but it's not going to have a significant impact.
  19. I'd agree with that.
  20. Not the best statement as has already been pointed out. A bit wooly. A pro-active action plan is required, but given the lack of facts available, it's probably a bit too difficult. I guess the RST are in a difficult position of wanting to say something but being unable to do much as it's too early. There are people out there who could galvanise things and contact high rollers, but some of them possibly wouldn't get involved with the Trust after the events of last year. Perhaps something may emerge similar to an unpublicised scheme that was investigated last year but didn't get anywhere. Would the Trust be prepared to get involved with something where they weren't the lead partner? They have showed a definite reluctance on a number of matters over the past 12 months. It will be interesting to see if they do now if the opportunity arises.
  21. There are the shares that were unsubscribed from the last rights issue. I believe that they can be issued without too much trouble under, for example, the Gersave banner, although the RST board seemed to suggest that this might now be time-barred at their AGM. I think that there's about 5.8 million shares available.
  22. He wouldn't be my number one choice, but the answer to your second question is no.
  23. If he was innocent then would he be negotiating a settlement? I have some knowledge of such cases and if he was innocent then it would be cleared up years ago.
  24. Big chestnut though. SARS want over £180m from him.
  25. I doubt that allegiences to celtic have anything to do with it. It will be a purely business decision, albeit one that we may have trouble understanding the rationale of. I also doubt that they are too concerned about fans closing their accounts, although there is no reason for them not to try and limit that.
